How can one say Stoops is the most overrated? He's in contention for a MNC every year- you can't ask for more.
+1
He's great for consistency if nothing else.

I don't know about that, there are a few that could also be included but I will buy it.
quote:Dead wrong on this. He may not get the recongnition he deserves but thats because he is in Blacksburg,Virginia. But you ask any legit college football fan and they all will tell you Beamer is the real deal. The dude built a morbid program into a year in and year out power.
Frank Beamer is the most underrated".

I agree.
really? Frank Beamer is 2-3 in his last 5 bowl games. They went to a bcs game having lost 4 games last year. I think that is just ridiculous and just shows how weak their conference is. Frank Beamer also can't beat good teams that aren't in his conference, they got it handed to them against LSU 2 years ago and then whined when they didn't make the big game and then got beat by kansas, KANSAS!! Oh and all mack brown has done is win at least 10 games 7 years in a row and win one of the best national championship games i have seen and they should have been in this past game, not that i think they would've won, but i think you are a little wrong in saying he is overrated

Is there a coach out there that can compete with Miles' out of conference winning percentage since he has been at LSU(100%)? Yet he gets no respect, even from LSU fans. I agree that Miles is the most underrated coach in college football.

Those that think Mack is over rated need to check his record the las few years he was at UNC and their record since he left. Then take a gander at what UT did from about 1984 until Mack was hired.

Although I don't like him, it is hard to call him overrated. Here's a question, would we take his accomplishments at LSU? If he dominated the SEC, SEC Championship Games, and the Tigers play in a BCS game every year would we call that overrated (even if we lose at the rate he has lately)?
Think about where we were before Saban. Tiger fans were happy just to get to a few mid level bowl games with Dinardo.
As of late, he just can't win the big BCS games(lack of team preparation, focus, imo), but he is still a very good coach.
Les really has the potential to be viewed by the national media as an elite coach if the changes he made this off season to the staff and the studs he brought in reach their potential. Consistency is what we are looking for, none of that 9-5, 8-5 bullcrap!

I agree with you to this extent. Stoops has gotten his fair share of criticism, and Miles his fair share of praise. It all depends upon the sources you pull from. Which, basically, makes the comment meaningless, unless qualified or backed up.

Heard on the Herd from Cowherd:

I agree.
That's not what he said. He said Bob Stoops is overrated and Les Miles is underrated. There was nothing about "the most."

Colin Cowherd says a lot of good things about LSU. Is there some connection?
Posted on 4/30/09 at 7:47 pm to DaCajun1
Bob Stoops is a good coach. But I don't know if he's great. He has not had his last several teams prepared to their biggest games. In LSU's biggest games, I would say Miles has had the Tigers prepared to win. Except for last year. But, we were prepared to win the Bama game last year and we didn't. The one player that mattered the most didn't play well enough get the win. Thats not Miles' fault.

Because "post count" = "relevancy", right?
The guy is essentially a fricking 'Bama retard who flames every chance he gets. He doesn't need you patting him on the head.
