Cole Henry Update

not arm soreness and not "chest" related.

Great news. Hopefully he enters the fall 100%, along with Hill.

No doubt great news on Cole. Kid is so talented and hopefully our Friday night starter next year.

For the entire year.

Really pathetic how our fans have questioned his heart or desire. Drag Mainieri or any other coaches through the mud all you want, but questioning a college kid for being alarmed when something didn't feel right is downright disgraceful.

He went to a doctor outside of LSU’s medical staff Sunday morning who diagnosed the median nerve problem. An MRI showed no structural issues.

Henry underwent laser treatment and dry needling to break up the scar tissue, and within minutes the nerve was firing correctly again, Jeff Henry said. He then went outside and threw without issue.

Does that mean he would have been able to pitch in Omaha?

I'm so happy for Cole

When I hear 'arm soreness' I immediately think the worst is coming (TJ)

This is very pleasing news to hear

Sucks that it happened in the postseason... but it is what it is (and Mr. I Hit Nukes came in and pitched admirably for a much longer than usual outing and gave the Tigers a chance to win)

LSU pitching gonna be beast mode next season

Every single person on this message board who talked crap about Henry not having "chest", insulting his desire to play, etc, needs to not only ban themselves from this website, but need to find a new team to cheer for.

I am, however, very concerned that a non-team doctor seemed to quickly find and solve the problem. I'm hoping that the scar tissue built up between starts, but if it's shown this has been there for a while... then LSU needs to immediately fire their entire medical staff who deals with baseball. In fact, I'm starting to think they need to be fired anyways.

Sounds like LSU needs a new medical staff.

LSU doctors with all their resources couldnt figure this out.

Whatever Dr. he went to did this on sunday and minutes later he was throwing without issues? WTF is the training staff doing?

Also, does it mean LSU needs to look for other team Dr.'s? Didn't he sit out for a month with arm issues that they could not figure out? Only to then pitch and have trouble again?

Then it built back up. That was a temporary fix. That did not solve the issue. No doctor has "Solved the issue" yet.

So the scar tissue has built back up that quick?

Is this a LSU team DR issue? Because that's how the tards are going to spin this, without knowing much info.

Why are they even pitching in the summer? They are obviously super talented. What is there to prove in the summer. Scouts already know the talent levels. Rest up, Pro ballplayers rest when their season is over with don't they?

Who are you talking about? Most of our pitchers aren't pitching during the summer.
