Every team in the SEC has guys with plenty physical ability

We still have half the season plus the tournament, regionals, supers, and Omaha to pull it together.

I would love to be first in every category and still ranked #2, but we are still very much in control of our own destiny.

We just need some feral varmint to run across the outfield during the next series and we will be back on track!

Another cold hard fact is that it can turn on a dime from week to week, that's baseball.

CJJ got really lax when the GOAT went to the bigs.

?? He won a championship after this occurred. If he did that all while being too relaxed that’s pretty impressive.

LSU has Baseball Players, they have no Team.

I would argue the kid that booted the potential DP Saturday really isn't a D1 baseball player. That's the second time this season he's done that.

Obviously this partly on Jay, but I really think think this team is not as talented as they thought. Some of this is on Jay for whiffing with evaluations but at some point the players have to play. To be honest with you, there's not a single guy from the portal I want starting on this roster outside maybe Moore. This is the problem. No T in team and the portal guys are struggling bad here. If the regular guys like Curiel/Milam/Brown/Stanfield struggle there's no lifting this team up from anyone else and no life either.

Fielding - 11th

This is surprising to me. Outside of one inning, they seemed to play really clean and even made some really nice plays a few times.

Yes, they've made some good plays, but they've also made bonehead errors. There's a very fine line between very good infield play and very bad infield play. Very good infield percentage is .980 and very bad infield percentage is .960, so not much swing from good to bad.

ERA is tough but that’s due to trying new guys to see what they got. Now that we have the main guys figured out on the mound I think our pitching is legit. They gave up 8 runs 7 earned the entire weekend to a hot offensive team.

So you mean other than they can’t hit

Not their fault they have to keep facing rag arms that won’t throw fastballs down the middle of the plate.

they're actually tied for 9th in the SEC in fielding%. Their team fielding% is .975, which isn't bad at all

Where are you seeing this? I have .964 for the season which is not very good. We’re on pace to have about 50% more errors than last year.

Yep! Pitching ain’t the problem! Finding a consistent line up to produce runs is Jay’s number one priority! As long as the team isn’t weak as kittens mentally, I believe they can gel and make some noise on the back end. We still have 8 more SEC series left!

We were talking about Oklahoma, not LSU

But Moscona said a scout told him this is the most talented roster Jay has ever had….
