Unless Bonvillain is lights out this weekend, I agree Glenn deserves a sunday start next week.

Yeah this team is plenty talented enough to win it all. We just need to stay healthy.

Does Bonvillain go to the pen or does he start the mid week games?

Absolutely the pen, a quality weekend long-inning reliever is immensely more important than a weekday starter. Having Cotton AND Bonvillian as weekend long-inning relievers is a huge asset for SEC weekends. Eventually, we'll have weekends where our at least 1 of our weekend starters get chased and we'll have to burn up one of those guys on 1 day and it'll be great to have another still in our back pocket in case it happens again the same weekend.

Save the weekdays for McCune and the freshmen.

Even if Bonvillian is lights out he cant go more than 4-5 innings. Glenn is more valuable as a starter.

Its entirely possible that we could see one of Bourgeois, Cotton, or Rumbelow close.

I like LaMarche's stuff. I was hoping he could develop more control under Dunn.

I don't see Cotton being taken out of this role. He has already proven he can do it, so why change that?

Glenn has a really low arm angle that is hell on lefties.

I see him ending up on Sundays with Bonvillan as a long reliever. We have Cotton for tough lefties. Though I could see them swapping roles. Rumbelow was expected to close coming into the season and Its his job to lose. LaMarche is talented but he needs to command his pitches if he wants to see even occasional time. If something happens to Rumbelow, I think Cotton is next in line to close.

and maybe he still will. i just dont see them giving him the closer role any time soon. He cant be trusted in the 9th like that.

Because, Cotton is better suited as middle relief and Rumbelow would be a better fit IMO. You won't see Rumbelow toss more than 2 innings during a game.

You put Rumbelow at closer, and move Cotton back to first out the pen on Friday nights.

Honestly, when all this happens, we probably have one of the best pens in the country, not to mention one of the best 1-2 punches starting Friday/Saturday in the country as well.

Glenn to Sunday vs Washington seems likely. Bonvillain to the pen since he has experience pitching in the SEC. Rumblelow and Cotton in the 8th and 9th. We staaaacked

Possibly, maybe I just need to see Rumbelow throw this season. Obviously closer can be a funny role. I don't care who is in the role as long as they can get those 3 outs.

No debate on this one. 2 guys that consistenly sit 94-96 lol. In all seriousness, not every pro rotation has that.
