This post is about assistants and coordinators. We are married to Brian Kelly and that isn’t changing. He is a great coach and we are in good hands.

Obviously there is a huge benefit to keeping the same coaching staff as long as there is continued success.

Who do you see being the first main assistant or coordinator to leave for a promotion?

Who do you see being the one needing to be done?

Does Our OC ever leave?

Regardless of what happens I trust BK to make the right hire and continue pushing this program forward. Trust the alignment.

I don't know that Denbrock will have tye opportunity. I would guess that House's defenses will need to show a bit more consistency to warrant his hiring, even though I think he was pretty good considering the injury, talent, and depth concerns at DB and DT.

I’m not sold on Hankton as WR Coach/Passing Game Coordinator. UGAs passing game seemed to have improved after he left.

I believe that will improve with better line play and better QB development.

Our WR room is and continues to be impressive. Hopefully that improves this year and going forward.

I agree. I've always wondered, though, how our screen game isn't better. The talent at WR would make me think that our tunnel game and big plays with throws at the LOS would ve more effective. Does Aaron Anderson change that?

According to some rumors seen here there might be some new faces on the coaching staff next year.

And yet Polian is considered God in the coaching world.

I want Polian in no way associated with the program.

Hankton apparently puts in long hours. Even during a championship game weekend. Leaves no stone unturned.

Oh, I'm not questioning his work ethic. Seems to also be well-respected by the players. I'm not sure what is going on with he and Kayshon, either.

I was merely alluding to my observation that I can't remember (considering the 2019 season as an outlier) a time where we've effectively used the WR screen game as an extension of our run game, especially with our vast talent at the position and our recent struggles running the ball consistently. I remember Palmer breaking vs. ATM, but not much else.

Hankton is widely revered as an up and coming position coach, soon to be OC, undoubtedly future head coach type name. Let’s not forget that he was interviewed as an OC candidate for the Rams when he got hired on here. Like, love, dislike, hate, etc from where we sit won’t throw off his trajectory at this point. My guess is he’d be the first to go on to a bigger role somewhere.

Hoping that the rumors were just that, and we get to have him around for next season again atleast.

He isn’t considered a god, But Kelly trusts him. He is basically Kelly’s right hand man. Former hc who is very involved on the sideline with the game.
Big in the transfer portal game also.

Could he be moved to a different spot, sure. But the guy does say more then Just special teams. Which may be the issue with special teams.

Polian led the portal revival of the roster last year and has us at the top of the portal rankings this year.

Special teams had problems, many personnel related, that should be fixed.

I doubt he gets the hook after 1 season.

I saw at least 6 major special teams gaffes in the two playoff games.

This is dumb.
