Storm hits Baton Rouge. #6 LSU's second game gets cancelled. #7 Missouri beats a high school team a week after giving up 100 points to Illinos and jumps LSU because the Tigers didn't play because of the storm.

Seems pretty simple to me the connection between the two. I'm not claiming the coaches dropped LSU because of the storm ... I'm merely stating the facts. Like it or not, it is what it is

If these are facts, you live on another planet...

High School team? Gee, a little biased hyperbole on your part...but that is fact?

100 points? Gee some more biased Tiger glasses hyperbole on your part...but that is fact?

Tigers dropped because they didn't play...more facts?

Who is to say they wouldn't have dropped? Plenty of movement has happened in the polls with every team...even LSU after week 1. But of course, a victory over North Texas would have been so impressive...far more than the high school team Mizzou played.

LSU dropping is fine, but the double standard with USC is what gets people flamming. Georgia out played USC in week 1 and got jumped. Then Georgia out played USC this week because USC didn't play this week. The reason why USC did not drop is because it's not fair to drop USC because they did not have a game this week. It's not USC's fault they had an open date. They (voters) keep changing the rules to suit their agenda of keeping certian teams in large media markets at the top. This keeps those markets interested in college football to make more money. It all about the money.

Quite frankly I don't give a shite. If we take care of business we'll definetly be in the top two. That is all that matters. We have plenty of time to settle this on the field. One spot this early won't matter. Playing Florida and Georgia, who are ranked above us, allow us to control our own destiny.

I don't think Georgia could beat us.

I think Cal and/or Oregon have a good shot to beat us, but I don't think they will.

If we're healthy throughout the year, and don't get
complacent against lesser competition, we'll make
the BCSCG.

And we'll beat any team that takes the field against us in Miami.

What about the final poll? Did Les vote us #2 after the BCSNCG last year?

Of course they can. Then again yall are capable of beating them as well.

I really didnt have a problem with USC jumping UGA except for the fact that if the roles were reversed i think there wouldve been 0 chance of UGA jumping USC.

Why?

This seems all based on the fact that some SEC fans don't think USC deserves any of the credit they get and therefore if they move up in the polls it's because of bias.

If any SEC team had USC's resume the last 10 years they would get the same respect in the polls. Don't hate because your idea of proving yourself nationally is playing North Texas.

What sec team would'nt want to play osu in a bowl game?! Even better yet a national championship game! OSU has had their arse handed to them in every bowl game against an sec team.

Just this constant refrain...

I have heard nothing but SEC pub from all the networks...

Georgia was voted #1 preseason.

Last year USC looked like crap and LSU jumped them.

This conspiracy theory is getting old.

If an SEC team wants the same conspiracy then get the same resume.

I am assuming that you are a Pac-10 fan considering you are from oregon. Sorry if im wrong. Yes i agree LSU scheduled a horrible non-conference schedule this year but only because they play florida and auburn on the road. The past few years however they have scheduled atleast one BCS conference school per year. I have to hand it to USC because the fact is they do normally schedule a great non-conference schedule yet the Pac-10 compared to the SEC is a joke. And yes i know UCLA beat a mediocre Tennessee team but the SEC is hands down better from top to bottom. And as far as the resume goes since 2001 the win-loss difference between LSU and USC was I believe 2 games. (Info from ESPN article) Both teams also won two national championships during the time. Resume for the decade seems about the same. As for moving down in the polls i have no problem because LSU didnt play, yet Missouri will lose to OU and we will be ahead of them eventually chill out LSU fans. If business is taken care of we will be high in the late rankings.

Wow, East Carolina jumps from unranked to 14th in the AP poll. I haven't seen a jump like that in a while. Gives them an almost certain BCS bowl if they win out.
