So true. Nothing else in sports is like it.

I hope whoever is the QB on the field for LSU to be wildly successful but I have one concern for Narcisse. He has only played like 2-3 games in the last couple of yrs of HS. There is a huge mental aspect to this game that comes from repetition and game experience. I am amazed at the people who want to hand over the keys to someone who has hardly played the last two yrs.
JMHO, it will take him some time for his mental side to catch up with his physical side. Rant away

If his knees stay healthy, he can break some records.
If...
Legitimate 4-skill talent.

Agree with a lot of what you both said. But, if he earns it nobody can say it was just handed to him because I think O may have a thing for Etling the way CLM had with his QB's. He only made the change in attempt to save his job because of public opinion.
Hopefully O and Canada do the right thing and hand the keys over the guy that provides us the best chance to win and not trying to please the people.

I heard this about Lee, and JJ, and Jennings, and Harris, and Etling..... Russell Shep for good measure.
I would love to see him develop, he is not there yet.

I respectfully disagree. He made the change because the previous quarterback was struggling with accuracy and on field decision making. Basically the qb was killing drives with poor play. This contributed heavily to the loss at Wisconson. Etling took the opportunity and drove for 3 TD's in a row where the first guy was lucky to get one first down his first three drives. I think CEO wants to win at all costs and believe he will let his coordinators make the right decisions on such matters as personnel changes.

Yes he played well initially. He also hit a wall in the next few games as well, especially against Jax St. and Auburn where he looked as bad as BH. But there was no way CLM was going to put BH back in, even if BH played 10 times better. Fans just started to personally hate BH and would've made the heat even worse on CLM than it was.
DE's season in total does not have me confident that he has turned it around. When the RB's were going off he couldn't make plays just like BH. When RB's bust open the games they both played better.

Im with you. He's still very young between his ears, no matter what sort of cannon arm he has.

I sure wish M Brennan had come in early with Narcisse. We have a ways to go at the QB spot but I still think we are in a better spot then we have been since Mett at that position.
No one has any idea what Canada is throwing at Etling in these scrimmages. He was a 60% guy during the season so apparently they are making it hard not trying to pad his stats. There may be zero short passes right now but only long to intermediate throws for him where he has to fit the ball.
Who knows but there is one thing we know is that Canada has said many times that his practices are designed to be hard so the games are easy. They know what he doesn't do well so it would make sense to only work on that for now. Get him improved as much as possible in his weak areas then go through all the motions after he's improved.

You are a damn rockstar until it's time to play.
Especially at LSU.

Etling completing 40% of his passes! Can not run that we'll! Next year's qb will be Scott jr
