decided to leave his “Midwestern utopia”. They don’t care about anything else.
I’m going to stop you right now, everyone knows you’ve never been to South Bend. It is many things, but utopia isn’t one of them.
Baton Rouge is a dumpster fire, but South Bend says, hold my beer.

I went to south bend in 1998 for the LSU game...the area around the campus was real nice but downtown and the rest of the city looked like plank road...it was a rough looking town.
There was no tailgating outside the stadium at all...you were allowed on campus 2 hours before the game and you had to be off campus 2 hours after the game ended...they sold Philly cheese steaks in the quad..but really no tailgating anywhere on campus
They also announced the mass schedule for Sunday throughout the game...one last memory the marking on the field were hard too see and the grass looked like it hadn't been cut in a week or more...
They also had tons of security guards throughout the stadium looking for people with alcohol...

Hell, I'd even live in Bossier City if I was making $10 mill a year to do it
Bossier isn’t bad. Shreveport OTOH…

Big time college coaches are workaholics who spend all their time at the football ops building, the practice facility or out recruiting. You think Tuscaloosa or Clemson or Norman are thrilling cultural hot spots?
The constant dumping on Baton Rouge gets tiresome. Kelly is going to live in a $3 million house in one of the nicest neighborhoods in the city. His wife is going to hang out with other rich guy's wives.

I guessing if BK came down and toured the campus before accepting the HC job, he was helicoptered into Tiger Stadium.

Would have to guess BK and wife will live in one of the elite areas off Highland road or the University Club. The majority of past Baton Rouge now live in either Ascension or Livingston parish.

I thought that was their last Mayor.
Sorry wrong board but that guy still sucks arse or licks it; one of the two or both.

Long as you are not poor, BR is a great place to raise a family. BR is full of great schools (magnet, private, Catholic), very nice neighborhoods, and plenty for kids and families.
