I read Coach O's comments about the WR group and got the impression that they may play more WRs than the usual WR1, WR2, WR3, etc. (due to so many formations and motions).

Is this correct and we may see 4th/5th/6th WRs playing more often than the past? Or did I misunderstand?

I honestly think CEO gave Gage the nod when listing them because Gage is a senior leader in the WR group. There is no denying that Gage isn't as talented as many of the other guys, but man he worked his arse off to get there. I've haven't seen a guy that committed to down field blocking since Clayton. I'd also look for Gage to move to more of a slot role now that we have some bigger and more experienced guys.

Dee should have taken note of Valentine's end at LSU before tweeting displeasure at his position coach situation. You can't talk crazy publically until you have moved on to the NFL. Case in point, OBJ...that dude has been saying some crazy stuff lately.

What Dee did was wrong. But if grown man Coach is putting a player who was upset over his position coach getting fired in the doghouse, thus potentially harming the entire team, he is a petty dumbass not meant for leading.

I dont think he is truly in the doghouse for that btw

I'm ready to see Sullivan do something. He's too big and athletic not to be on the field

Really hope Anderson gets out of the doghouse. He made some impressive plays as a freshman.

Jarvis Landry didn't start until his Jr season, so what's your point?

WRONG!

He started as a sophomore, or at least played a ton. Oh and that's not even his best catch versus Arkansas.

I don't know if these tidbits are included in the tweet since that is blocked at work.

but here's the full quote from O.

LINK

quote:

“Russell Gage had a tremendous spring. Drake Davis needs to come along. He had some great days in the spring, but he needs to be more mature and consistent. Derick Dillon has got to come in and play for us. Stephen Sullivan had a great spring. Dee Anderson needs to mature. He has a lot of athletic ability he just needs the maturity doing things on a daily basis and I believe he will do that. I am so excited about Racey McMath. He’s big, strong, physical and has a great work ethic. All I’ve done is see him run and he looks fantastic. Mannie Netherly has been with us. We do so many shifts and motions that all of them will have to play. We’ll need a fantastic rotation there.”

No your wrong, you act like you forgot we ran a dinosaur offense up until his Jr year. Do you guys even try using google? He had 1 start his sophomore year. I watched every game and I was one who wondered why as a 5* recruit he hadn't busted out yet
