Like the kind of stunt where he doesn’t know that Brennan could have played against Arky and BAMA, but used the “he is injured” until it came out in the paper that he wouldnt burn his redshirt? He wasn’t injured and we suffered through Burrow being terrible. Now all of a sudden when we are a 30+ point favorite he feels like he should play. Either Brennan has refused to play this season or he has been lying.

Maybe, but unless it’s compensation for exceptional contribution, it’s bad management. Oliver had (apparently) ceased to be a contributer.

Notice that in that video when walking towards the locker room no other players were coming to EO's defense and he even got into a little shoving match with #15.

That's a big hint as to all involved mindset. Appears the team kind of feels like Major does.

While it seems kind of silly about the jacket to us. IF, and that if is based off the admitted assumption above, the team feels that way that is absolutely a good move by MA.

Or Oliver could have acted like an adult since he was being asked to do what Apple white expects from all of his players.

On this note how bought Lane Kiffin? Thank God we don’t have that trainwreck as HC like everyone was rooting for.

If those are the rules, those are the rules. He didnt rip it off him. He seemed calm throughout. It also seemed one sided. He held him accountable. The players playing need those jackets.

No one player is above his team. Oliver found that out. Applewhite was correct and his players will respect him for that.

I have no idea what or about whom y’all are talking about, lol Some dude, a jacket, a coach and a craphole. Context would be helpful.

Remember when Fournette wasn’t going to play against Florida, then got into a pregame altercation and told Orgeron he was now going to play? We lost that game.

There’s a lot to bitch at O about.

This ain’t one of them. When Leonard Fournette tells you he’s good to go, unless there’s a medical reason not to, you let him play.

Here's the video. It includes Oliver running around catching passes. The knee looks pretty good Ed.

Seeing the video, while Oliver was throwing a fit and yelling at Applewhite, the coach should have stopped, stared right at Oliver and calmly said 'if you say one more word to me you are off this team' and left it at that.

He wanted to keep control of the team by sending a message. Not sure how well thought out it was.

Not bashing or praising.

In any case, EO has been the face of the program for three years, and MA should have left him alone and just say "thanks for the memories".

Terrible take.

Oliver already shut this season down. If he wants to be on sidelines then he needs to respect team rules. If not, watch from the stands.

Oliver was bring a douche. He committed to a team, a university, a coach.....he would rather get out there and yuck it up than sit in the shadows.

Coats are for players. The players in uniform when he was wearing all kinds of clothes.

His buddies that were out there sweating and getting cold in the sideline needed it, his quitting arse did not.

Thank you Major. We need more

Water under bridge now, but Oliver should have been at LSU. He follows his high school coach to Houston and then the high school coach bolts with Herman to Texas. Of course, Oliver can't make a similar bolt, but that's another issue.
I know his brother was also at Houston, but Meekins going with him to Houston was the proverbial package deal. Oliver would have been dominant at LSU, his brother could have been another Jakori Savage. Should have taken both.

You either mistyped or reading too many TigerRee posts.
I don't recall Kiffy ever being a HC candidate. OC, yes.
