the guy loves LSU and did his best when head coach. Always did and will like him.

Some LSU fans seem to have no clue how lucky/spoiled they have been since 2000.

1 losing season in 24 years is remarkable. Compare LSU’s run from 00-24 to other big brands.

There’s only a few that are in the same category having 1 losing season in 24 years. Closest I found is Oklahoma.

When you factor in championships, the only programs at or above LSU are bama and Ohio state. If you ask me, that’s pretty damn good company.

He did his best up until 2019 then he thought the “lifetime contract” was real and thought he was untouchable.

He maybe could have gotten one more year to turn it around that’s my only gripe on firing him.

It’s honestly pretty miraculous we made the turnaround we did in 2022 with the deck we had.

No it’s not. This program was NEVER as bad as you nerds on TD try to make it seem

The way this place holds such a strong grudge, for so long is strange. So much misdirected hostility

We were ahead of UGA. If we had a coach who was ambitious, we would have stayed ahead of UGA and won 2+ more titles. Instead, we cratered.
but O never built a program - he had one monster year with Burrow and Brady. Yes, O gets credit for brining them here, but it's not like O was building a program, he kind of lucked out with Burrow. Remember, in spring on 2018, Burrow wasn't a highly sought after transfer.

Remember O also had all that offensive talent on the 2018 roster and did little with it, under Ensminger.

Kirby built a program.

Kirby inherited a pipeline of talent that Ga. squandered for years.

Yeah! They hired Hallman, Dinardo, Orgeron, and Kelly.
Which coached a Natty?
Which has been coaching twenty years and never won a Natty. Never won a Major conference championship?

Coach O is a treasure. I just wish he could have sustained his success at LSU but it's good to see him doing well

You do understand that ND is not in a conference right? Therefore no conference championship opportunities. Also getting LSU to one in year 1 after inheriting 36 scholarship players is impressive

Then he should get together with Jameis Winston since they’re both “national treasures” and ride off into the sunset in the shrimp boat; and don’t come back

I get why people wanted him to no longer be the HBC here, but I don’t know how anyone cannot like Coach O. CFB needs personalities like him. It’s entertainment after all. Hope he comes back to LSU as some kind of ambassador one day. I’m forever appreciative of 2019.

All of this.
