His film showed an incredible ability to cover receivers from that position better than anyone we’ve had in the past.
Lou Tepper would have loved him then! (The infamous "Drop Linebacker" fiasco that none of the LB's could play)

That’s big words when Stingley and Chase are on your team

s. I think Queen 2019 season was the best LB I have seen at LSU in a long time.

No. He had some good games especially the natty game but my man can't even touch Devin White.

Does anyone know what kind of linebacker he resembles? A big, punishing bruiser? A quick, athletic guy?

On Cody Worsham’s interview, he asked Cox about his style and he described himself as a Finesse LB with speed to cover sideline to sideline & good in pass coverage.

This is why some people need to stop crying when we don't sign a full class. Coach O is ahead of the curve with the new transfer rules.

And the one year transfers are also a part of the reason we have only 74 Scholarship players right now. Too much attrition from people transferring out and from people transferring in with only one year. I don't count Burrow or Lewis because they were two year guys.
The real issue is that two of those slots came from a 5* WR and a 4* safety (that we really needed for next year). The other 5* WR was replaced by a fine prospect from MS.
If you manage your roster properly, you won't have so many of the big holes. Look at next year's safety depth for the next "crisis". It kinda reminds me of those dark days in the 90s when LSU got the top running back from 5 states, when they only needed a couple of those and some big guys to block for them.

Every year he’s finding guys like this that become key pieces. We don’t get the best QB in CFB without that strategy.

Some of the crying last year was because O sent good commits packing and got trolled by their expected replacements. Lesson learned.

He's one of the more modern linebacker molds that is smaller but faster and can do more than just play by the LOS. No idea why he didn't get more looks out of high school. He was 6'3" 210 which isn't exactly small for a high school recruit. Wasn't even from a small town. Played in Kansas City in high school.

Jabril Cox and Liam Shanahan

Heard interviews of both of these young men on the Hearing Voices podcast. Both are thrilled to be here. Found out Liam’s dad is an Irish immigrant. Born in Ireland and came to the states in his twenties.

I really hope the non playing conferences will not let players transfer ad nauseum.

Flott’s recruitment was kind of strange. He was a 3* committed to Auburn and came to a LSU camp after his senior year. The coaches loved him and offered him on the spot. That’s sort of unusual for LSU. Raymond looks at CB for several years before he offers one.

I told some AU guys I knew that he might flip. And they laughed at me. When he did they said well they found out stuff on him, like he smoked dope, wasn’t going to make his grades, Auburn had been slow playing him because he was only a 3* and we were going to be sorry. I told them that Raymond seldom make a mistake and I thought he woukld start or be in the 2s. I would so love for him to intercept a pass against AU.
