Another mention of Mashburn and Small. While some may consider these red flags, they're both very athletic, smart and physical players...even if not highly touted or jump off the page measurables. You always need guys like that to play a role, sometimes a pretty big one. It's still early, though, let's wait and see how it plays out while appreciating these kids' emergence for the time being. At worst, they give some depth. And, don't forget that mentioning these guys breeds competition...somewhat of a head's up to the others in the position group.

I am too. If the tight end position is set, then the results will come on the field. He better win this year.

Oline more aggressive and intense than last year
cregg was a joke. Plus committed violations and still sucked at recruiting. I’m glad LSU has Davis now

But is Peetz making the WRs catch 10,000 balls while running all sorts of crazy drills?

Why can’t that be a good thing?

What if he is another Sam Mills? Sam had to go to Montclair University because he was so small no one would take him. He was cut in the NFL and cut in the CFL. Think about that. All of those coaches failed to realize they had an NFL superstar in their locker room, and all because he was short.

By the time a player is a senior and has been in the program 4 years, the fact he is a former walk on is no more relevant than if he was a 5 star. By this point, you can either play or not.

What you were rated at 17 means nothing when you are 21. Check NFL rosters for proof.

Somewhat confused about the Small comment, specifically about the hands/head part. What do you mean?

Then he probably would have been in the mix way before now.

This offense will go as far as the oline will take it.
The defense will go as far as their dominance up front.
That first half of the ucla game will be the most interesting in years.

I like the hype. It gets the fans ready and improves team morale which important this time of year. Fall camp can be a grind.

He also said the OL is the best he's ever seen, the defense is the best he's ever coached, max Johnson reminds him of burrow, and peetz knows Brady's offense better than brady

He said last years defense was the best he's ever seen. Sorry if some of us are hesitant.

I watched Max’s 2020 highlights and came away impressed with his ferocity but o-line better improve or he will be struggling.
He does remind me of burrow with the way he isn’t afraid to take a hit.
