“We made a mistake. We thought they were bringing their punter in there (on the field). So we had to call a timeout”. That gave Arkansas time to call the fake. Says we were nowhere close to expecting a fake. This staff is clueless.

Someone could write a book on how to save timeouts by showing all the examples of him wasting them when the team isn't prepared for situations.

My entire section was screaming “fake”. I thought that was why they took the T-O. This staff is worse than I thought.

How in the world do they not even consider a fake is coming? It's a 54 yard attempt and the kid is a freshman kicker.
I was wondering when I saw how long the kick was going to be. Not saying I knew it was going to be a fake but I didn't think the kid would make the FG.

Yeah, I usually think a bowl is good for the extra practice. But this staff is so bad, the extra practice might just ruin these kids for the next coach.

The potential for a fake at that point was pretty obvious. If there was a formula for deciding when to go for a fake punt (or have to defend one), everything on the field pointed to it.
