Coach O, it’s not that everyone hates you

No I hate him. Not because he's a bad coach I'm okay with that, somewhat. But he's a bad coach while also lying to everyone associated with LSU telling us all these great things he will give us but he inevitably doesn't deliver. Not only is he bad, but he is just a con artist who has zero brain cells. He doesn't deserve any defense from anyone. He just sucks.

I don't hate him. I really don't hate anyone, it's a strong term.
But I damn sure don't like broken campaign promises and unfettered arrogance. And I don't like that all my fellow Tiger fans have been equally lied to. And I don't like seeing the goalposts moved more and more every time something goes wrong.
And I don't like a "new thing gone wrong" every damn week. I was pissed when O was given the HC job, but I figured I'd give it a shot. I was pissed when he couldn't get along with Canada but I figured I'd give him a chance to hire a bigtime replacement. I was pissed when he then hired Ensminger but by then I had become near completely apathetic so I thought, what the hell, let's see what Steve can do.
But then today happens and I'm just fricking done. Thank god for the two faithful young men who signed to play for LSU today. Those guys saved me from completely giving up on LSU football until administration changes are made. Tommie Robinson is the third highest paid staffer. Orgeron is first. Those two men are responsible for this class. The ESP went fairly well, had little to no complaint there. But those two men completely screwed the pooch on NSD. They obviously had absolutely zero contingency. I'm thinking of these kids that are damn good and our staff literally turned them away because we didn't have room left in this class.
I don't hate Orgeron. But I hate what he did today, along with most everything he's done since removing the interim tag.

I said it before. I was willing to give him a chance as an interim and, well, things looked pretty decent.
Then this past season happens with the Troy and Moo State fiasco's, he gets into altercations with an OC that he hired, runs him off, blows $3M in the hiring/firing process of just that OC, (by now I'm just done with him. I don't believe a thing the man says) and then he tells all the LSU faithful that "we're coming, we aint backing down,
, only to reinforce that with no search for an actual OC, then to boot promises huge signing day players only once again to be a proven liar. Then, he stands at the podium and says, "I chose this class. I, me, myself, me, me, me, me, I think he actually said,
He's a flat out liar and he's a terrible HC to boot.
Can't believe this is actually happening at LSU.

He’s a wife beating alcoholic coonass who will, if I were a betting man, talk about nothing but his mother’s gumbo on his death bed.
He’s lied about kiffin, his vision for the offense, hiring the best coordinators, improving our recruiting, etc.
He makes irrational strategic decisions like offering Tua over Brennan with false hopes of kiffin, then tells Mario Goodrich he doesn’t have a commutable offer because of James foster.
Then he admits to being a highly functioning retard. He admits to the entire press he didn’t even acknowledge the usc oc reaching out to him but didn’t give him the time of day, and he point blank tells the media he told a top 100 recruit to hold off in case MAYBE a project quarterback comes to lsu
He’s far worse than I could have ever dreamed of. I was a skeptic that was willing to give him a chance but wow he crashes his airboat into every facility on campus

Goddamn I'm loving this thread. Almost every response so far I notice myself nodding my head in agreement. I used to like Orgeron the man, just not the head coach. Liked him as a defensive line coach. Now I don't like Orgeron the man. I mean the guy literally stood in the podium and said he will hire the best coordinators in the nation. He hires Steve fricking Ensminger as OC. Falls on his face on NSD.
You know exactly what Saban said to Surtain.. he probably had Surtain at his desk and was like.. "So, I've heard LSU is your leader. LSU is a good program.. well, WAS a good program. How you think ole Ed Orgeron is developing players over there"? Saban starts laughing and we look like a fricking joke. THE GUY JUST ISN'T HEAD COACH MATERIAL. There's nothing wrong with that. He was making more money than 95% of this board as our defensive line coach. No shame in that job. Just show some goddamn mercy and hand the keys to someone who knows what they're doing.. please Ed? I'm not gonna live forever. These years are wasted. Does ANYONE believe Orgeron will be successful and stay the HC of LSU until he retires? NO. I’ve never seen the fanbase so united in my entire time being an LSU fan. At this point, just about every single O supporter is gone. The ENTIRE FANBASE agrees on this- Ed Orgeron is an absolute JOKE that has completely TANKED the LSU program and any bit of shine it had left. I think you were spot on about what Saban says about LSU now. He can sit there and laugh at us, and that’s enough to sway a recruit from LSU to Bama. But it’s not even about Surtain or any other recruit. It’s the optics that lead to what happens with Surtain/other recruits.
We have become a type of laughing stock that I didn’t even think was possible. As much as I loathe Ed Orgeron and have nightmares about him coaching more than 12 more games at LSU, I have EVEN WORSE nightmares about us firing him and Joe Alleva being given the keys to another coaching search.
Please god. Make this nightmare end. We’re driving 100 MPH straight towards a brick wall and there’s almost no chance we avoid it. We. Are. fricked.

I feel ya man. I do. But do you think Alleva could do any WORSE? I mean Orgeron is about the bottom of the barrel as far as power 5 head coaches. I couldn't imagine him being able to find a worse candidate than him? I mean look what happened to Tennessee. They offered the job to probably 30 people and got turned down and ended up with Pruitt. I would take Pruitt over Orgeron in a HEARTBEAT. And he was after they got turned down by 30 or so other coaches higher on the list. I'd have to think we wouldn't strike out on that many coaches..
But then again, if we struck out on our first two Alleva would probably offer the job to the goddamn water boy. It's basically a no win situation with the guys we have in power over LSU athletics. I just want to take a long nap and wake up when Alleva and Orgeron are out of here. And it's a shame because I liked Orgeron as a defensive line coach. I thought of him as an asset. The guy was just never meant to be a head coach. USC officials saw it and were willing to take the backlash from the players that wanted him and the idiotic select fans that wanted him. Pat Haden and company knew what was up. Alleva? EL OH EL.

Nope. I hate him. He is a liar and a disgrace to our university. Under no circumstances should he have been considered, let alone hired, to be the head coach at LSU. Only an administration focused on optics instead of making the necessary changes to create a championship would fail to see the connection between football, enrollment and revenue.
