Has the LSU football program improved under Orgeron after 2 full seasons as head coach?
Slightly. His first 2.5 seasons produced more wins than Miles last 2.5 seasons.
He's got to get 11.wins or more to keep himself off the hot seat this year.

Yes, by losing the three straight which made the overall season look like 2013-2014.

Not so sure about that. Brady could turn out to be an excellent hire. And, of course, could be a bust.
Of course he could and I hope it turns out that way. But, have you been overly impressed with any assistant that O has identified and hire outside of Pete Jenkins or McMahon?

I don't give a shite about 24/7. Like most rational people I use the composite because none of the recruiting services are all that great on their own.
The only person who I've ever seen say that a single site is better than the composite is your stupid arse. That's not exaggeration either.
The only fanboy here is the Ohio State fan alter.

This is where some of the disagreement comes from. A good season of course, but amazing is a little much.
Agreed.

I think there will be some that will be just fine with that, but I guess I don't think it's the amount that you seem to think it's going to be. Maybe I just don't want to believe it. I would hope LSU fans have bigger and better expectations of the program than that.
And all of these discussions would say otherwise. The people that are coming out of the woodwork to support O, imo just tells a different story. Maybe I'm wrong too, I get that, but the way some people argue about O says it's more about O than it is about LSU.

That's because you're counting 2014-2016 for Miles and 2016-2018 for Oregon. That's 29 games played under Miles vs. 34 games played under Orgeron.
You literally can't get more intellectually dishonest than this.

Yeah because youve really held the staff accountable up to this point.
My holding them accountable is as meaningless as yours.

Losing 5 games 2 years removed from an NC appearance is not a big deal until you lose 3 games in the next season and another 2 games to start the following season.
That's the entire point. It wasn't the 5 games in 2014, and it wasn't the 5 of last 9 game losses for Miles - it was the culmination of everything post-2012 that looked like he would never get back to the top. And that was a very valid observation.

My only argument is that Rivals, whom one single poster has claimed is better than the 24/7 composite, created a profile, fabricated an evaluating and designated a fake person as a 3* player.
Not once in this thread have I defended 24/7. Not one single time.

Nah, you go back to the last 5 of 2013.
Orgeron still would have a better record.

We didn't win a NC and it was three years removed

Hiring assistants hasn't been his best attribute so far and if his 2nd OC fails no one is going to be able to make an excuse with any credibility at all
To add fuel to the fire, was the original mission statement sold by O of "we're going to have the best OC in the country". Yet here we are with E.

NC Appearance, you know what I mean. We were the #2 team in the country that year.

That's fair. And the point still stands. And before the November meltdown it looked like Miles had the mojo back....until it was very very clear he didn't, hence it solidified the stance that years like 2013 and 2015 were pretty much the ceiling going forward.

The currant unofficial count by the voting TD readership:

Coach O Is NOT Crushing It - 138

I can't fault that. It's opinion but your opinion is as valid as mine.
I do think there was more to it but it's been argued ad nauseum

I'm not going back and counting but if this is the case it's a fair point, though I think it's a bit ridiculous to use half seasons.

That's been my stance for over a year.
Don't listen to these other Yahoo!'s, they stretch everything out of proportion. My stance has never been different.

Because you totally don't, right? How many times have you claimed that I "hate" Orgeron?

This is open for interpretation, but my definition of "crushing it" would be beating Bama or winning SEC.
Coach O appears to be "headed in the right direction to be crushing it". That would be my vote.
