With a minute to play? Hell yeah it is.

Provide the statistics they had 138 to play

I don't see how you don't understand a better passing game would have eliminated the reason to put the whole fricking game on his shoulders..

You dont think our 2018 offense wasnt actively trying to get a 1st down?
On the ground of course, but they decided not to throw. Against Wisconsin we had to score or the game was over. That's why I said actively trying to score. I didn't say we weren't trying to get a first down vs aTm.

Well, seeing as this is statistically incredibly hard to do, I say LSU made the right choice on offense to pin them deep...
Which is easier to do end the game?
Drive the field and score
Get a 1st down?
The fact that you think the offense against A&M didnt have achnace to win the game by getting 1 1st down just further proves your bias.
Im not even bringing up the fact that the 2018 offense had 2 other chances in ot when the defense held a&m to fgs.

That’s not the point.
The point is EITHER could have won those games.
It’s not just 1 thing

This is called a false dichotomy. You can google it if you want.

Correct
Run the ball, eat clock and play to your strength, which was the defense.

I think Game winning drives are relatively common. Not more likely than not, but still pretty common.

So again, the offense failed to win the game when all they needed was 10 yards.
The 2018 offense needed 1st down to win. The offense doesnt get a pass because the coaches went conservative.
The defense had held them scoreless and scored a ts on the previous 4 possession. They handed the offense a win on a silver platter.
Both offenses can end the game.

I don't recall ever even vaguely insinuating this. My point is that with a healthy Fournette or with a steadier dose of Guice in those two games, we probably win regardless of how shitty our passing was.

You're welcome to look up how many games are won on game winning drives in the last minute.
What about 4th and 16? How common are those?
Posted on 2/21/19 at 2:59 pm to RogerTheShrubber
Now this is the false dichotomy
That you can’t both run the ball and get a first down.
That we had to choose between running 3 times and punting or throwing the ball for a first down.

That's precisely what Sammy is saying, not insinuating.

You changed your stance from what you posted recently.
You originally didnt say shite about playing defense. You said play to your strength and protect the ball.
You change your stances everytime youre proven wrong.

No, Jethro. This has always been my stance.

No one said you can't. However A&M had the second rated rush defense at the time. Easier said than done.

Why me? You said the opposite and never had to back it up.

That's not what I was saying. I only said I thought the two scenarios weren't a good comparison because the requirements of each offense in order to secure a win were different and so were the 2 approaches. I wasn't debating which approach was better or worse.
