We're still going to have some growing pains and are short on depth. But, it seems from this past weekend that Coach O and the team have found their groove.

We'll likely lose to Alabama but I believe we'll upset Auburn. The rest of the games LSU should win. Arkansas and A and M both are weak. Tennessee and Ole Miss are both fluff teams that LSU can beat.

I think we have a 3 loss season, which is excellent in a transition and rebuilding year.

there are some winnable games left on the schedule, but this is still a bad football team.

if they keep up the effort they gave Saturday they could maybe win 4 more games bc the SEC is pretty bad too but lets not go crazy, they could lose any game they have left as well.

These excuses are pathetic. Who decided this needed to be a rebuilding year? O needs to man up and stop acting like a victim.

New Coach doesn't always equal rebuilding year. Towards Les' end, no one was saying we needed to rebuild. In fact, people wanted a coach who was better suited to manage the abundance of talent, especially on offense, on our roster. Not saying there aren't deficiencies but going 9-3 with a loss to Troy would have gotten Les fired if he were still here. And brother, we ain't going 9-3.

LSU could be the 4th best team in this conference so why the hell not?

Sometimes it feels like this board should be Nuked. We lose to fricking Troy and then beat a very average Florida team and all of a sudden we’re “in good shape for the rest of the season”.

Why do you believe this? Just a hunch or are their football reasons behind it?

You must mean Alleva. LSU was playing like garbage till Alleva had his little meeting. Alleva is 1-0

First, I am very happy LSU won this Saturday. Aside from disliking Florida and having to listen to them gloat because they won a game in which they were completely dominated last season (a McElwain staple really) it's good to see the players happy.

HOWEVER, the only thing keeping that game out of an OT crapshoot is Florida's holder dropping the ball. I'm not ready to think LSU is all of a sudden on a roll. The defense played better against a generally inept offense. The offense had it's moments in the first half, but was largely held in check in the second. I've defended Etling a lot. And while he's tough and generally a good decision maker, he wasn't good vs. UF

If LSU can beat an Auburn team that has found its groove then I'll change my opinion. But right now I see a team that can compete in close games with the rest of the bad/average SEC teams, but isn't close to the good ones.

As for Ogeron's impact going forward...It's about the same as the guy wearing the Mike the Tiger costume. Both are nothing more than cheerleaders. Ogeron is Johnny Jones 2.0. The more gameday/game planning input they have, the worse things will be.

So, anything less than 9-3 and you will admit that Orgeron underperformed this year, right?

7-5 or 6-6 and he vastly underperformed, right?

Arkansas looked weak this weekend. A and M is weak.

These are two almost guaranteed victories.

I'm all for pulling for the Tigers and keeping an open mind but this is just delusional.

I was never a fan of the Coach O hire. But, I have to give credit where credit is due. I think the embarrassing Troy loss has started this team's turnaround. I also take into account that this is a down year for most of the SEC.

I think Auburn will underestimate us.
