Mike Detillier just said on AFR that LSU will announce Coach O's contract extension soon. He said it's been in the works for a while now.

Yeah I need to know the details but whatever.

I'm sure it puts LSU in a shitty position. These kats give zero fricks about anything but themselves.

Whatever. Run it into the ground

It would just solidify what most of us are thinking
We are satisfied with mediocracy and 3 loss seasons.

Yea he said it's basically for recruiting purposes since you have to start recruiting hard for classes 3 years in the future.

I could understand an increase in salary or performance incentives.

But an increase in contract length or sum of buyout has not yet been earned in my opinion. Nobody is going to offer O more money than what LSU is paying him.

Of course they will.

They wanna get it done in the event that we lose the bowl game or the 2019 recruiting class goes to shite.

Germans? I would love to see your source from anyone reputable that said anything about a contract extension for Coach O.

Yeah right. Alleva's going to take care of his people with fat contracts. We'll be stuck with Johnny Jones coaching the football team, having to wait years to afford a buyout.

I am the last one that wants O extended, but he really can’t walk into a living room and promise a mother that he’s going to take care of her baby if his contract is only 2-3 more years.

It was in a couple threads sunday and last week. I'd link but I didn't post in that thread and not digging to find it. But it was brought up and Exact same quote as well, from scon, detiller or hanni "been in the works for a while".

That’s BS. If he’s winning then everyone knows he can stay as long as he wants. The only people who worry about that are mediocre or terrible coaches.

Miles did it when he didn’t even know if he was going to still be employed come signing day.

Oh my bad. I haven't seen that. It really surprised me when he said it.
