Yes, judging from his roster and performance the last two years, O was clearly on a path to unrivaled dynasty .
Too bad LSU took all this away and COVID affected only his program...

Let him go chase his 45 year old Botox queen skanks.
Nobody needs that kind of trash on the field.

Covid was the excuse to take away all the tools needed to keep the program going….
They gave him all the tools he needed to win the natty, then they took it all away…..Brady, Aranda, players like Tyler Shelvin, IkA……and others…..
Covid was just the easy scapegoat needed to do it without too many people noticing what really was going on….
His team was unraveling because it was forced to unravel…..apparently his mannerisms weren’t good enough for a prestigious program like LSU….

Yeah. The real reason he was booted……he was messing around in his personal life….i get it…..
That’s just a dumb reason….lets set the program back for 5 years because he like to chase a blondie in his off time….
I remember when that picture came out with the blonde…..do you think coach O was just slinging those pictures out every where? Or maybe some shady arse hacker did some illegal shite and got that picture?

He quit on LSU as a player and coach!

Also people don't rememeber that coach O stood up to the lefts garbage. These new kids wanted to march and make O do it too. They were too worried about being perceived victims then focusing on football and improving. Saban bent over though, of course.

a backstabbing moron that burned down the program as most predicted? Nope unless you are talking about the 1/2 morons that go to the games as social events. Most fans would not if they weee true fans.

A lot of painful truth to this. Painful. Truth.

Do you really think any of those marches did anything or changed anybody’s opinion about anything?
It was just virtue signaling…..look at at me and my high moral compass,, ,
coach O wanted to remain neutral…..
To me it was the perfect vehicle to take down an up and coming LSU program….and that’s what it did….and all of you fell for it….
Go ahead, bask in your glory….i hope you’re happy…..5 years later and we still cant recruit offensive lineman that can pass and RUN block…..

He wouldn't have known about Burrow had it not been for Bill Busch and Ensminger
So to say he "recruited him" is disingenuous. You're implying that he did it all on his own which isn't the case.
No I didn't, that's why I specifically said O went after Burrow hard after he was told about him. I have pointed it out before on here and O has given credit to Busch saying he was the lead recruiter for Burrow. Big credit to Busch there.
Ultimately though, the head coach decides if a team will recruit a player once someone puts the player on his radar. Credit goes to Busch and O for going after a guy who was an afterthought backup QB at that point. Like I said, even lowly Nebraska passed on Burrow. The article linked below talks about how O cancelled Mother's Day plans and vacation plans following his son's graduation just to be there to help recruit Burrow. Here is what Joe said:
quote:
"I was still battling with myself, asking myself if I could really do it,” Joe says. “Coach O reassured me that I could and that he wouldn’t bring me in here if I wasn’t going to be the guy.”
“It felt like he was going all-in on me. And I hadn’t felt something like that from a coach in a long time. I hadn’t felt that a coach really believed in me like that in all my years in college. That really made me feel very good about my abilities — and about my ability to come in and be the guy at LSU.”
quote:
As Joe would later wrap all of that into a summary explanation of his decision: “Coach O sold me on a vision."

Dude, the fact that he even posed to take that pic was moronic. I'll always give him his due credit for his contributions to the 2019 season (which I did not think would happen under him), but he had lost focus and needed to go when he did.
He did have to deal with a lot of BS with COVID opt-outs and everything else that went with it, but he didn't even interview Pelini. I know Pelini was great the first time around, but you always have to interview guys to see if they are truly a good fit at that moment, etc. His focus wasn't there like it needed to be after 2019.

what the frick are you talking about?
No one took away Aranda.
He got a coaching job and we have O the money to hire whoever the frick he wanted.
Brady took a OC Job in the NFL
O could have hired whoever and stuck with Ensminger.
Ika didn’t transfer till 2020 and that was because we didn’t have a plan for a NT,
The team unraveled because O O was like 1 for 7 hiring coordinators.

Burrow was leaning toward going to Cincy because he was from the area and knew the head coach
Cincinnati is on the opposite end of the state from Athens. Not even close to one another. This is false.
I meant that he is from Ohio and that general area. Athens is about 3 hours from Cincy (not very far). Louisiana is a hell of a long way from Ohio.
Luke Fickell coached defense at Ohio State when Joe was there and they knew each other well. He thought Burrow was going there. If not for Bill Busch putting Burrow on LSU's radar, he probably would have.

Aranda and Brady left because they could and because they could see it unraveling. They KNEW O had quit .
Aranda didn't want to be the last responsible adult on the coaching staff when the exodus was over...

Dave Aranda and Brady were taking those jobs regardless.
It’s not a jab at O. that’s what happens when you’re successful.
the issue of course is that he picks his coordinators through trial and error.
