It’s the probably the camera being in his face that made it worse. I couldn’t imagine people running up to me with a camera non-stop trying to get a reaction

there is literally no way of knowing that for sure.
we have no way of knowing what other coach we would have hired, or how aggressively (or successfully) he would have pursued Burrow.
O wasn't getting hired by any other college as a head coach, so we would not have been recruiting against him.
and no other big name schools was even offering Burrow that year.
maybe we still get him and run a better offense in 2018 than we did with O and Slinger and win a title that year too.

He did win a natty but it was his exit that tarnished his reputation. (Same with Miles honestly) And then the interview with him laughing about being told he was fired and being paid millions. Could have handled that better.

Was walking around campus circa 2018-2019 with my then girlfriend (no pics). She was of the blonde bimbo variety, and so I wasn’t surprised to hear an old gravely voice behind us as we rounded the North side of the Stadium “hey, Geaux Tigas”. I turned around and it’s the man himself, Coach O…slow jogging his way up to us…”Wanna take a pic with ya Coach…?” I did…he just wanted a pic with the bewbs. Cool pic nonetheless
Edit: have also seen him running the FQ in Nola multiple times while he was coaching at LSU. For as much shite as people give this man, he loves his cardio

I would love to have him back in a recruiting role an maybe help coach just a few lineman. Even the gump that he is hilarious and he is a national treasure. Not up there with Mike Leach but still

If we had hired the guy who bolted to Texas instead, Tom Herman, Burrow would have still wound up here. Herman recruited and coached him at Ohio State.
