wholesale stadium renovations

Since Jay has been here, I’ve only heard him speak about improvements for players and not stadium improvements. However, he did a YouTube interview for The Advaocate LSU Sports Insider a couple of days ago and I heard him say the Box is gettting a little behind some of the the other schools in the SEC, but he said some of that’s his fault. He said when he interviewed for the job, they asked him about the stadium and he said I can win with that stadium. Even though he said it was getting behind, he said he was talking about the physical stadium only but the fans and the atmosphere were still the best.

It’s about the 39:30 minute mark when he talks about facicilities. Warning! Koki Riley alert.

Jay can be to Skip what Saban was to Bryant.

I'm here for it.

Garbage? The players love it & opposing fans are blown away by it. It's older than some, so anything new will look better. The Aggies, Moo St. & the Hawgs all have nicer parks possibly but how many NC's have they won???

Aggy player facilities are absolute trash. I personally know of recruits that visited and they had birds making nests in the batting cages and other crap like that. The exact words where “shite was broken down looking”

Maybe they could just fix the two or three urinals in the concourse bathrooms that have been leaking all over the last 5 years.

Just get Bear a good urinal

I agree HCB. I know some of these posters and fans are still wet behind the ears and too young to know better but the "atmosphere" is just a shell of what the original Box was despite being an outdated and piecemeal stadium.

The mystique of the old Box is stuff of legend and will not be duplicated in today's corporate stadium environment.

They are not gonna build a new stadium dipshit, nor should they. There's plenty they can add.

CJJ might be one of my all time favorite LSU coaches. Love his blend of IQ and personality. Very smart and likable guy.

I agree The Box could use some upgrades but I think the money is better spent on player facilities. I think that's what resonates with the recruits to be honest.

still for a program that’s supposed to be the standard of the sport the box is a distant 5th in terms of stadiums of the SEC when it comes to fans experience.
1. State
2. Arkansas
3. South Carolina
4. Ole Miss
5. LSU

The players facilities are pretty damn great but they still need to give Jay his indoor practice facility like State and Arky.

Could??? WTH are you talking about ? He 100% IS positioned and is entering the middle of it
If anyone can do it, it’s Jay Johnson, but it’s a tall order to win 3 more NCs to match Bertman’s number.
