I’ve been pretty anti O but anyone denying the importance of beefing up the OLine with these guys is an idiot.

You’re right. Silly O. Big teams that compete for titles don’t go after Juco plays. Bama would never sign a guy like Saivion Smith.

Hey man, if you hate LSU and the upward trend they are on recruiting the trenches, you will definitely hate me.

It’s pretty sad that some folks disdain for our HC has made them miserable fans. When O was hired, I stated that this program was bigger than one guy. I’m not an LSU fan because of Ed Orgeron. I’m an LSU fan because I love LSU and I will support this program through thick and thin, regardless who the coach is. Despite our early season struggles, when this team could’ve folded, they rallied around each other and the coaching staff and grew up. They fought hard and finished with a respectable record, and a bowbirth to a respectable bowl against a perennial and iconic national power. Now, they’re back on the recruiting trail trying to plug holes for next season via quality JUCO players and incoming freshmen. Identifying and filling positions of need is important. And if you’re thin at a position, quality JUCO players are a great way to get immediate contributors. This coaching staff is doing well in that area and I applaude their efforts.

another class without an elite QB.

This class isn't finished. We just signed two possible "elite" QB's last class.

You don't think pulling three of the #1/2 JUCO players at each of their respective positions within a few weeks is impressive

Fine. It’s impressive.

But it begs the question as to why we have trawl JUCOs for castouts and leftovers rather than building via HS recruiting like lost good programs.

First, some of these JUCO players were highly touted out of HS but didn’t have the grades to get into a D1 program, forcing to go an alternative route.

Second, most national contenders add a handful of JUCO players an any given year. Why? Because at elite schools, some juniors leave early. Freshmen aren’t always ready. So you get stop-gaps JUCO guys to come oil for a year or two. That’s called reloading. It’s smart to doo that because if you don’t, you may be forced to rebuild.

When a program starts going JUCO heavy the program loses its identity and foundation and a lot of times flounders.

We aren’t going JUCO heavy by signing a couple of JUCO players each year. Again, most elite programs do this. There’s has to be a balance.

The hate for this man is ridiculous truly! The ones that refuse to even give this man a chance can go and pull for another team as far as I'm concerned! frick off and don't let the door hit ya in the arse!

Just curious why you brought this up on an LSU board where the statement doesn't even apply?

count, yes you can have a different opinion. I have no issues with that. It's every fricking time someone post something positive about the man, someone hater, like yourself I'm sure has to completely derail the topic with due to their pure hate of the man. Zero openminded!!

I hope you're wrong. QB and CB are our two biggest remaining needs for this class. There are a few options remaining. Hopefully we can pull one of them.

Another year...another class without an elite QB.

Didn't we get Elite 11 QB Brennan last year?

Isn't Narcise a RS freshman next season, so essentially a 2018 full eligibility QB?

Another year? Please explain.

Restomod . . . still waiting.

You mean like Alabama?

We should be more like them and not take any JUCO players. I mean they would never take #1 DE JUCO player Isaia Buggs or the #2 OT Elliot Baker in 2017. No way Jose would they take the #1 OT Charles Baldwin and the #2 SDE Jamar King in 2016. Can't be true. Good programs don't take JUCO dudes. I mean if they took a JUCO player in 2018 that would be three years in a row. People who take JUCO players don't make the playoffs right?

I mean it must be a misprint that CFP teams are taking 3 of the top 12 JUCO players this year. No way Big 10 and SEC Champs are taking 2 of the top 10 JUCO players.

It's like you people act as if the internet doesn't exist and just make up shite.
