That's funny. It was a big deal when Bama got JUCO Isaiah Buggs last year and a big deal when they got JUCO Saivion Smith this year.

JUCO is for immediate needs. Its incredibly hard for a freshman to succeed in the trenches in the SEC. Ingram and Charles are the exception, not the norm.

Junior college is where players go after high school if they are very good and can't qualify to go to a four year college. The play there is much more advanced than high school.
LSU needed help on the offensive and defensive lines. Coach Eaux stated he was going to go the JUCO route to help bolster the LSU lines.
He did what he said he was going to do by signing potential immediate starters on the lines in:
No. 1 OT (Badara Traore)
No. 2 OG (Damien Lewis)
No. 1 WDE (Travez Moore)
