Glad our line stepped up for Mett

I focused in on he JD-Clowney matchup on the replay. He was mauling Clowney on running plays and holding his own in the passing game. I was super impressed.

They basically avoided running to Clowney's side all night. When they went his way they helped JD or used Clowney's aggressiveness against him. Clowney is still gonna be a top pick. JD is still a liability that has to be covered up. He didn't suddenly become a first rounder. He has to be helped as much as possible. LSU did a great job of game planning. They ate the defensive end on the other side of Clowney up all night. Vadal played the better game than JD.

They went right at Clowney quite a few times. And, ad far as I saw, JD was solo on Clowney, quite a few times. Make no mistake, Clowney is too aggressive. He took himself out of a few plays to his side because of incorrect reads. But Josh D did a damn good job with one of the best DEs in the country. What was most impressive was his pass protection. Josh D FINALLY showed some decent footwork, extending the pocket to negate the pass rush.

Rewatched last night. According to the announcers "LSU is running right at Clowney". We weren't skeered.

It's not always so bad that there are repeat posts here on the rant, not everybody has time to look at every post that gets put on, how often do you go back 2 or three pages to check and see what was posted?
Just saying.

He's a mouthy SOB. He's a good one, but LSU knocked him around, too.

Got to see the replay last night. SOS was wetting his pants. Awesome.
