and here I thought people tried to convince us Clemson fans that the sec was a grind week in and week out. glad to see that there was no reason to jump to that conclusion.

Points scored in Chapel Hill:
Clemson: 21

Appalachian State: 34

Record vs. UNC & South Carolina:
Clemson: 2-0

Appalachian State: 2-0

Uh oh! Looks like Appy State might be as good or better than Clemson based on arbitrary, transitive property stuff!

Both cannot be true

Sure they can. Statistics are simply raw numbers, what those numbers ultimately mean about future events is alway up for interpretation.

I'm not saying they are or are not irrelevent< I'm just saying that both can be true.

What makes them less rellevent is the fact that it has been shown time and again that the transitive property in football using simple statistics is completely unpredictable.

UGAs defense gave up 13 to the Gamecocks. Not 20. Lazy/misleading to count a defensive TD as a way to measure the opposite defense.

Also, none of this mean shite

Clemson's D isn't going to stop LSU bro. Your slot cover guy is bad, which means Jefferson will have 200+ yds and 3 or more TDs. Your safeties can't cover either. So Clyde and/or Moss (whichever one Simmons isn't covering) will kill you too.

Clemson will have to trade scores to have a realistic shot to win.

Is Muse covering Jefferson in the slot or some other slot receiver? If so, that’s the only stat you need to know because he is going to get burned like toast all night long.

We've heard this shite all year. Every week. Every team. The same stuff over and over and over leading up to the game yet the same results in every game.

This LSU offense is the best in SEC history and possibly the best in College Football history. Sorry, but nobody is stopping LSU this year on offense, nobody. And certainly not a team that beat NC by 1 point.

2 games matter in this kind of comparison. The A&M game and the one next Monday.
