Interesting take on the Fiesta bowl from the Clemson perspective. Lawrence called it “The most physical game I’ve ever been in” and Dabo talked about it as a “15 round bout.”

It was a great game and OSU is definitely at a higher level than almost anyone Clemson has played in its current win streak.

That said when watching the game it didn’t seem really hard hitting. Especially in contrast to what Auburn, Alabama and Georgia bring to the table on defense.

Clemson is a great team. I don’t expect LSU to blow them out. That said I think LSU can bring more physicality than tOSU and from this article it will be interesting to see how Clemson handles it.

I honestly expect a 14-21 point victory. Clemson isn’t ready for our offense.

It was clear watching that game that LSU is the best team in the nation.

1. LSU
2a. OSU
2b. Clemson

Georgia
Oklahoma
Oregon

Both of those teams made mistakes that LSU was making at the start of the season and has since corrected.

48-21

The unusual characteristic of the SEC, is that it happens on an almost weekly basis without the opportunity for a full recovery from any injuries.
It is really a "next man up" conference.

This is what seldom gets mentioned.

tOSU had those snake handling hillbilly trash on the ropes and on the brink of a blownout. their lack of capitalization and young Qb mistakes and getting hosed by SEC refs (sound familiar?) is what got them beat. osu beat themselves.

OMG THIS GAME WITH UGA WILL BE A NAIL BITER OH NOZ

OMG THIS GAME WITH OU WILL BE REAL CLOSE OH NOZ

OMG THIS GAME WITH CLEMS SON WILL HAVE US ON EGGSHELLS OH NOZ,

signed the rant

sounds an awful lot like Alabama last year. I think LSU wins, but Clemson is absolutely ready for whatever we throw at them. I'm expecting an all time classic championship game.

I was surprised at how good OSU looked. I thought Clemson would take them to the woodshed. OSu looked like the better team but Clemson just made more clutch plays down the stretch

The Fiesta Bowl was “ what a CHAMPIONSHIP game should be”. I know because I heard Dabo reference it twice within five minutes of the “ championship “ game ending.

LSU is definitely more physical than OSU. On offense and on defense.

I would normally agree with you, but like the guy above, I just don't see it. Clemson's Defense last year featured an NFL caliber DLine. And as good as Tua was last year, Burrow is better this year.

It's not a knock against Clemson, because I think they are elite. The difference is this offense. Joe, CEH, Cush, JJ, and Chase (outlier) could all conceivably be in the NFL contributing on teams RIGHT NOW. Clemson doesn't have the horses on defense to stop them and they can't match us score for score.

I can't see them staying within 2 scores.

I try to stay rational, and I know it sounds like homerism when you're realism has your team on top, but I saw what I saw in the Fiesta Bowl and nothing about either of those teams scared me. LSU will win the national title.

Clemson wasn't used to playing against a top tier team and it showed early. One of the most impressive things about this year's LSU team is their lack of injuries going into the playoffs IMO.

If Clem had the same DL they did last year then I would be more worried.

They did hit Lawrence any chance they got. Even if it was just a shove at the end of a play. I think that is a key.

I'd put Alabama in top 6 easily

much better than OU
Better than UGA, UF and they should have beat Auburn...

without Tua, so it is what it is...

I think we will be in a dogfight with them that they might win, but you're wrong about that. They are absolutely not ready for what they will see from our offense. I'm sure they will adjust in the first quarter or two, but they are going to be in for a surprise if they think they are prepared for what they have to cover.

I just rewatched the 30 minute version of the fiesta bowl. Fields was given all the time Burrow would need to make his reads/passes. Lawrence had three maybe four That should have been interceptions.

I’m pretty sure OSU would also say it was the most physical game they played in as well. If you couldn’t see that at the point of attack and LOS, I don’t know what to tell you. Clemson will be ready and will hang around like they always do. It will not be a blowout.
