Venables also wants his son with more playing time. Jones was the odd man out and fits perfect for what we need.

How is he eligible immediately? I know the rules are loose as hell now, but he doesn’t have to apply for a waiver?

NCAA is allowing transfers without penalty due to covid. Looks like interleague transfers could still be required to sit out a year.

Actually, he is listed a grad transfer. So, he has already obtained an Underad degree from Clemson.

No, he was a redshirt sophomore. So, he graduated after 3 years. He would have 2 years left, but since last year didn't count, he could actually play for 3 years at LSU...That is unlikely though.
