Clemson defensive line was touted as a top D line … don’t dismiss LSU dominance

It’s criminal how atrocious our OL was last year.
Like I said before and now confirmed, Lane put more work in before his first game than BK in all 4 years.

McElroy is an idiot. He kept talking about how Clemson was being overlooked and had a chip on their shoulders. That was one of the worst Clemson teams in the last 10 years. But our defense will be one of the best in the country. And if Ross keeps playing like that we may have 5 first round draft picks on defense.

He is right on the edges. They were marginal at DT/ we will face better interior D lines. But Clemson still has 5-6 guys that are prolly top 70 picks

I havent had time to do an in depth review of the game but here are my initial impressions of the starting 5 OL.
Seaton: As advertised. Every time he was matched up against Heldt he completely owned him. Was equally effective in both run blocking and pass pro and was our best at climbing to the second level. Legit 1st rounder A+
Bordelon: Probably the least athletic of the starters but very strong run blocking and was effective in pass pro. Clemson threw a lot of twists with their front 4 on passing downs, which last years line had much trouble with, but he and Seaton handled effortlessly. B+
Moore: Had a few snaps go awry but very steady for the most part. I dont think Clemsons inside guys challenged him much but he was still very solid and did his job with not egregious errors. Very strong run blocker. B+
Bah: Monster in the run game and like the left side guys he and Davis handled the line stunts very well. Like Bordelon he is a little slow footed when trying to get to the second level but still a very effective guard. B+
Davis: Very good in the run game but still needs improvement in pass pro. He had the most egregious whiff on pass block that I noticed in my limited views but Levitt saved him from giving up a sack with his quick feet. Very athletic and I belive he has the most upside of the starting 5.

All in all an excellent performance from the entire line and the future looks bright to me.
