It's one thing to plan for our offense. It's one thing to plan for our offense and go against the type of players LSU has playing in this offensive scheme. We will be unstoppable. Clemson has no pass rush, those LB's are a mismatch for our skilled players, and those corners will get dusted. The best thing they can do is blitz and we know how that will workout. They are outmatched heavily on defense. Nobody has stopped us yet

The offense yeah they're good but I can count on LSU defense to get more stops than Clemson can, end of story. I'm riding with my Tigers with the trash talk

It will be a replay of the UT game imo.

They will hang around but never really threaten. Anytime they score we will answer, and quickly.

LSU 45
Clemson 34

ETA: I realize Clemson is much better than UT, I think they are a very good team and Lawrence (and a motivated Etienne) has as good of a shot to hang with us as anyone in the country, and a game decided in the final seconds would not surprise me.

But we are also much better than we were when we played UT as well. I just can’t see anyone interrupting the zone that Burrow is in and has this team playing in. No brakes on this train

I think our defense will play lights out. We're in New Orleans. Packed out house.Stadium rocking. Passionate fans. Beautiful women everywhere. Man everyone should just be down there just to enjoy us beating them down and enjoying the festivities afterwards

Venebles will try to scheme up a blitz package for an early pick. He will bait Burrow to throw a certain direction.

Weather the exotic blitzes early, get into the flow of the game, and our offense will look like it has all season.

No reason LSU shouldn’t win this game similar to what they have done in just about every big game this season. Aranda with 2 weeks will develop a scheme to confuse and stop Clemson early, allowing our offense to build an early lead. Eventually they make the adjustments; but it’s too late as LSU has already developed a 2-3 score lead and then holds on in the 2nd half by just matching scores.

Venables is going to send the house every down. They're not going to be idiots and rush 3. It forces them to play man, but Joe torched Auburn, Florida, Bama, and Georgia when they played straight up.

Do you not remember 1/9/12? Were you in the dome? I thought the exact same thing about the game until I walked into the dome and saw the exact opposite. Alabama fans were everywhere and the stadium did not resemble an lsu home game.

Actually the D played really well against UT.

It was 20-7 at halftime, D had two huge goal line stands on 4th down to keep them shut down.

Ehlinger got going a bit in the second half but that’s just because he’s a damn good player and Lawrence is a similar style guy only better.

The defense hit a bit of a lull in the middle part of the season (though it has been overblown), but now is playing back to where they were to start the year imo.

Clemson is actually a very similar style team to UT imo, only better.

we beat bama and Uf when they blitzed

auburn and UGA dropped 8 a bunch and rarely blitzed as did OU

venables will bring exotic blitzes. it is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY past time to break out some RB screens like we did against GSU. we just may need it

ole miss almost got to us with free blitzers.

screen clemson to death IF NEEDED

Bama had 2 weeks to prepare...LSU scored 46..... Oklahoma had 3 weeks... LSU scored 63...Clemson has 2 weeks and nothing will change....

Correct and unless Joey regresses a lot that won’t phase our game. He will find the hot route, the mismatch, whatever it takes and smoke them.

Ohio State looked disinterested in playing that game. It was lackluster. Clemson was really not that imposing either. It looked like both those teams had the flu for a week. But that is just my opinion.

Clemson is 12th in the nation in sacks.

That being said......Florida is 5th in the nation in sacks and didn’t sack Burrow one single time.

If you think sending the house is the way to go against LSU, you're not watching.

Ultimately, no team has the talent to actually match up against LSU on the perimeter, so the scheme hasn't really mattered.

Exactly. Theres nothing you can do to stop this offense. NOTHING. The only game that looked close was Auburn and that's because we couldn't finish the job in the red zone and slippery field
