To be fair to Clemson, it's not their fault the rest of the ACC is so bad. They do play a SEC team every year (who will never be more than mediocre) and they play Notre Dame who, though not the powerhouse of old, still isn't a bad program.
In a strange way, Oklahoma fans were somewhat pulling for LSU because they knew a win by Clemson would have meant it was likely they were going to break OU's record 44 game win streak

Clemson's 2021 schedule is even worse.

There should be an automatic exclusion from CFP contention for playing such a joke of a schedule.

The CFP selection committee knew that Clemson's schedule was a joke. That's why they were the #3 seed despite being the defending champs and winners of 29 games in a row. The committee couldn't justify ranking them any higher with their farce of a schedule.

I mean, you’re playing Notre Dame and South Carolina out of conference. Thats not exactly directional U’s. Can’t fault them for that. How awesome would it be to play a Penn St or USC ever year as a home and home? Everyone’s pretty pumped for Texas, right?

I’d say it must be nice to be able to sleepwalk through 80% of your schedule and make the playoffs, but we all saw what happens when you do that and run into a real football team at the end.

You need to start being treated like the Pac 12 until Miami and FSU gets their shite together. You should be penalize more for scheduling teams like Woffard, Citadel, Akron, Charlotte, etc. Y'all need to beef up the OOC schedule or pay the price. You can't keep getting rewarded for being in a shitty fricking conference.

I grew up in Charleston and in the past few years lots of my old friends are suddenly Clempson fans. I've had some fun picking at them.
What I laff at is this: who the heck wants to watch those games week in and week out?
