frick that. Keep him in the closer role and teams knowing he can get 6+ outs without much trouble will put fear into their hearts in close games.

Thanks I thought I was seeing things. Also if you look in the team picture he doesn’t look happy either. I am thinking he really wants a bigger role but doesn’t realize being a closer could be huge.

Well that settles it. Guess he’s the closer.

We need a closer
We haven’t had a strong closer in many years
Little is the guy!

What team photo? He appears to be smiling in the one taken tonight? He also seemed jacked up to be closing it out tonight?

I think the mean look yall were seeing is just the intensity he had coming out to finish the game and get the save. Which is why I think he stays in a closer/high leverage role out the bullpen with Floyd. He was like a bulldog last night that came in with a attitude that you not hitting me. Similar to Reyzelman last season. Eventually for this team to be it's best it will have to be Skenes, Hurd, and Shores on the weekend.

Pretty sure he gave a horns down after the save.

Imagine having a righty lefty combo late in SEC games. Cooper and Little . Something we haven’t had in years.

By years, do you mean last year? Cooper and Gervase were nails down the stretch in SEC play last year and helped carry that bullpen.

Hurd is an ace right there with Skenes. He just needs some innings to get back into form. Tonight was a glimpse

I've been high on hurd since he transfered. It's nice having top pitching again.

I agree with everyone. But right now he sure looks effective out of the pen. Folks may hit him, but he isn’t giving in, and not showing any control issues. Seems like reliever is his highest and best use. We will need him a couple times a series in short relief or trot him out and let him gobble up 3 innings once of a starter gets in trouble

one thing i noticed, we won't have to worry about the pitch clock with this guy on the mound.

It’s up to you to determine if that means anything to you. Obviously he hasn’t started games this year. But it’s pretty clear he has some comfort coming into the game as a reliever. He’s off to a great start. If you have the starting pitching to hold him there, I think they should

Reyzelman would have been screwed though.

Are we forgetting just how fricking amazing Ackenhausen pitched last night too? I think you can count on one hand how many balls he threw last night. It was insane.

Little is just fine where he is. He could step in as a starter if necessary, but I don't see the necessity yet.

You need someone to slam the door. Skenes, Hurd, Shores will be your rotation with Little & Cooper anchoring the bullpen.

Ack was so good last night. Just pounded the zone. Mixed up his pitches and speeds. I could see him taking some innings from Cooper if Hurd is the Saturday starter in the future.

It was my impression that is why he transferred here. I don’t think he wants to be the closer. He sure seemed bummed after the win. Maybe it’s just me . Did anyone else get that impression seeing him walk off the field?

Some of y’all put way too much stock in facial expressions
