Christian LaCouture not at combine?

Reading over the list of players that did some type of work at the combine and realized LaCouture wasn't an invite. Of all the juniors or seniors that were draft eligible I felt he was in top 5 of the list to make a NFL roster next year. He played at the Senior Bowl but what gives for not getting the invite to the combine?

I think they take so many at each position.
I would guess he fell out of contention at DE based on sheer numbers

There was a Bama backup with single digit tackles over 2 years that was more deserving.

Josh Frazier of Bama it in over both LaCouture and Gilmore, either tells you how bad our DL has been recently talent wise or maybe there's even a Bama bias among NFL guys

And the only event he participated in was the bench press where he put up a below average 21 reps.

Pete couldn't pull some strings and get his guys some invites? I think Herron has a chance to be a productive guy in the NFL.

I definitely agree.
I think Lac and Gilmore can make rosters as well or at least be close at the end of camp.

And this is the BS that pisses me off. Lesser known prospects should be required to do full workouts if they accept the invite. Period! Why take a spot from someone who’d be willing to showcase their ability and I’m not talking about just Bama players but everyone in general.

They knew if they invited him, his nearly perfect sister might come, the other players would be distracted, and somebody might tear an ACL.

Interviews. Even if they don’t participate in most drills, they are likely still getting interviewed by interested teams.

Lacoture wasn’t that good, so that’s probably why he didn’t get an invite. He seemed to play hard but he couldn’t get off a block to save his life.
