With Baker taking the Tulane job a name circling around is Vince Kehres. His defense is a 4-2-5 Hybrid, is young, and has one of the top 10 defenses in the country at Toledo.
The meeting scheduled for tomorrow morning is confirmed with both sides aware of the outcome that will follow this weekend.

The meeting is nothing more than an exit interview so both sides can mutual part ways.

We have our guy and due diligence is playing out.
The white smoke has risen and the new pope has been appointed. It's time we all come to the church of Kiffin as services is in session. Been one heck of a ride and enjoyed my time on this board which hopefully I won't be apart of another LSU coaching search for a while.

Enjoyed the ride fellas as the LSU and Lane stock has never been higher.

Update 11/18/25

Posted by CoachGeaux3185 on 11/18/25 at 1:47 pm
I will stand by the statement made yesterday and double down on all reports are Lane is our next head coach with reports coming sometime today. The hold up at this time is on Ole Miss side as Kiffin has informed them he will be taken the LSU job and currently seeing how legitimate the "Ultimatum" is with allowing him to coach the team for the upcoming Egg bowl.

I do know recruits will be in heavy attendance this weekend at LSU as the feeling is Lane will be there and that Ole Miss will make him walk.

As we prepare for our second round playoff game this Friday one of my students has received texts from other recruits with the same feeling that Lane will be on the sidelines this weekend at LSU.

The fireplace is hot with the white smoke getting ready to rise from the chimney.
Not his choose as Ole Miss told him to sign his extension or walk.
Knox to Uhigh is real with him enrolling after Thanksgiving break as an NIL offer was presented to the family that wasn't matched from a competing high school in the Baton Rouge area.

Kiffin, Layla, Landry, Knox, and Sexton are currently at LSU looking over the contract which should be finalized in the next 48 hours. With agreement in place he wouldn't coach Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl or the playoff run.

Keeping Baker and defensive staff is top priority from LSU in the agreement with a yearly salary of 13.5 million.

Will update once I get more information. Unless it falls apart last minute Lane is our next head coach.

*I will put a ban bet on it again*

2:50 p.m. UPDATE

LSU is allowing Kiffin to make all staff changes with no promises for defensive staff. Sexton used Florida to get the extra pay bump from LSU as Lane was going to take the LSU deal all along. Ole Miss and LSU were the only real options but within the last 24 hours things really turned in Oxford with the demands to sign his extension or walk. Contract will be signed today with Lane not leaving BR until it's final.

Update 5:02

Deal done press release shortly with a press conference coming from Lane scheduled for tomorrow.
The meeting was pushed back as the deal was supposed to be done around 2 pm is why that meeting was pushed back until 8 tonight. It's a bittersweet day and tiger nation will be better for this in the end. He was the right coach at the right time, but the current state of college football has passed him bye.

We can all relax, charge cell phones, and find the right guy to leads us back to championship status. Geaux Tigers

Kelly fired team meeting at 2 pm

Posted by CoachGeaux3185 on 10/26/25 at 1:48 pm
Just received word from a former player of mine at the high school level that Kelly has been fired and a team meeting is happening at 2 pm to discuss the matter further and coaching responsibilities going into the bye week. Sounds like Frank Wilson will be taking over head coaching duties and more staff changes to come. Stay turned
I really think it's your delivery on this board why people don't like you. If you wouldn't came at people rude or arrogant I think your post or information would go over much better. Just my opinion and wanted to add my two cents.
I know at one time he was committed to LSU. With us missing on Jarrett and (possibly) Burton does he reemerge as the top target at WR for this class or has that ship sailed?
Looking for recommendations for games to play as I've been away from gaming for sometime and needing something to play. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I see you have Cole Smith still on your depth chart. I thought he entered the transfer portal. Does anyone know what happen with that?
With the most recent NFL we all know two guys should have went in the first round besides Devin White. The 2020 draft currently Depilt is the only first round I'm seeing.

Does the board think we go over the number of first round picks this upcoming year, stay even with one, or under with zero.

Looks as if the accessories have leaked before the console is officially announced. Article suggests the unit to be smaller with a gray finish, but no price mentioned at this time.

I find myself playing my switch more and more over my Xbox and Playstation. Wonder what upgrades this unit will have in power over the standard version on the market today.

Detroit: Become Human

I know I'm late to the party, but was able to pick this game up the other day at Best Buy for $20. Wanted the boards feedback on the game overall and is it worth the playthrough.

Didn't see this posted with all the Will Wade talk so I figured it might have slipped through the cracks.

We all know Nez Raid was one and done once he signed but with him not a first round lock at this time what are the chances he actually comes back?

Also unbelievable they don't have Waters getting draft when he is the most complete and explosive PG in the country. His count vision is second to none.
Rumor has it enrolled in class at LSU. Transfer so he will sit out a year but could help us with depth in the future. What is board feelings on him. LINK
By far the best CB class ever signed at LSU. Felt the only position we missed on was safety. Does Hampton grade more as a saftey or we just moving Joseph back to his natural position and waiting until the 2020 class?
With all the happenings going on with Williams flirting with Miami and the Ish drama it would great to hear an update from him on what is going on. Tomorrow will be a huge day regardless of the outcome but it would epic to lock down Amite and keep them away from Bama.
