What does it matter if he served in the military or not? I assume he is a American citizen he can have a opinion on Chris Jackson standing for the anthem.

I say this and I did serve and FWIW I have no use for that person that used to be known as Chris Jackson even though he is the greatest player I ever saw in a LSU uniform. Not because of his anthem thing which I certainly didn't like but for his stance on and after 9/11.

This argument never makes sense to me. I know lots of punks who went in to the military, got out, do nothing productive for society and are definitely not patriotic. On the other side of the coin, I know a ton of people who never served but are patriotic as all get out. I actually did serve and interact with people who didn't but that are just as patriotic as me. Not sure I'm a fan of the 'did you serve' argument/smokescreen.

My bad. Didn't realize only people who served in the military are allowed to be patriotic.

This is the truth. My favorite Tiger as a kid. One of the best shooters ever in college basketball.

Eta: I still remember practicing for hours on the crossover between the legs step back 3. He was unstoppable on that move.

Likewise. Spent hours as a 12 yr old practicing that through the legs, step back 3. I'm 5'8,used to shoot over my 6'3 buddy with that move playing back yard ball,no problem.

Have u guys forgotten Pistol Pete & Shack???

I'm not old enough to have seen Pistol.

CJ at LSU was far better than Shaq at LSU, and I think Shaq even said as such.

CJ was INSANELY good here, he just flat-out embarrassed people every game.

Scored 48 points in the third game of his collegiate career against Louisiana Tech, hitting 18-of-29 field goals ... Two games later, scored 53 against Florida
If you're too young to remember it, it isn't easily grasped. 5 games into his career here, and he already had 2 unbelievable outings.

But you also have to blink non stop to get his move right. All that blinking couldn't have made shooting that easy and been tough on hand-eye coordination. He not only overcome that shite, he ended up as one of the great shooters in college basketball history, plus his handles were just as great. I can't remember any other tics he had. But he was unbelievable as a basketball player.
