I think whether or not he even plays baseball is based on his progress at QB

I agree. I think Slow and others assume the only reason he'll come is to look for better baseball money in 3 yeasrs. I disagree. I think he wants to see if he can develop into an NFL QB. The road to the NFL is much shorter than the one to MLB.

Do you want a guy leading the LSU football team who was content in letting Jefferson and Lee run out their eligibility before he played?

as long as he performs on the field, why does it matter?

You have a history of just waiting for a thread that is anti-miles so that you can join in on the bashing. How do you know that Garrett simply didn't have the desire or will to compete anymore, was being outplayed by BB, and the coaches saw this? Say what you want, but if it REALLY was this way, which many have said, then i do not blame miles. It sounds like CG just wanted to be let go. His heart wasn't in it.

because everyone else is drinking purple and gold koolaid except Lee. He makes sure everyone know's he's "objective". Except for the fact that he goes way past the ojective line to downright stupid.

The point of my message was that our idiot coach has failed to recruit a good QB in his time here. This is the 2nd QB he has basically cut. THAT'S NOT GOOD!!!!!

About two weeks ago, someone in the support staff told me that CG was in the doghouse. I didn't believe it at the time.
He said the staff was disappointed in his attitude. Not competitive, had no desire to unseat Jefferson, and displayed poor leadership.

Yea...Miles recruited him didn't he. That who's recruited that big time QB. Don't tell me Perrilloux didn't have issues in high school. Please don't tell me you think those traits came out once he got to college.....Miles should have known better!!!

Seeing and knowing what a head case is separates good coaches from mediocre coaches....

Why do you assume that CG was the answer at QB? The staff obviously felt otherwise. Can you tell me why you have a more informed opinion?

Because anybody with a lick of sense knows that Les and his staff are the Second Coming of Curley Hallman.

Also because all the critics are, as usual, much more knowledgeable and informed on the outside looking in than those on the inside looking out.

You ask a guy to compete and take the job. He says, "no thanks, I'll wait my turn."

I don't think that's the attitude the coaches were looking for.

Whether Miles made the right decision or not will be determined in the future.

With the current depth at the QB position, the only way this move makes sense hinges on the fact that Miles has a guarantee in good faith from the ZLee camp.

If Miles got played, it would be similar to the way LSU got played on the eve of the '07 SECCG by Miles and his agent.

I made a personal commitment to not give Miles the benefit of the doubt anymore, but I'm going to go ahead and walk out on the limb on this one.

i just don't care

as long as he performs and doesn't do stupid/illegal stuff, i could care less what his attitude is
