Let's not forget that Lee won't have the Chad Jones agreement where he plays spring football instead of baseball. Lee is a legitimate baseball prospect and will play the entire baseball season. Which means he'll miss a lot of developmental time.

then again, when has ANY LSU coach consistently put good quarterbacks on the field?
Jimbo Fisher did pretty good

Yeah, him and every other coach in the country was also recruiting him.
So that means Miles should recruit a head case because USC, Texas, Oklahoma, UF, Miami, are recruting him. That's so stupid.
Coming out of high school, I'd take a Colt McCoy any day of the week over a head case like Perrilloux.

NO, that's your concern..........I'm not concerned that Z. Lee can't play football cause I know people who are seeing him throw ropes on 20 yard out routes and are raving about his arm strength and decision making. If you have the ability to consistently throw a fastball 90 mph you have the mechanics and arm strength to throw a football too...........
Watch Z. Lee's film............he played in Texas, look at his states and his arm, look at his decision making ability, look at his decision making process since he was drafted.................DOES HE LOOK LIKE HE IS NOT A FOOTBALL PLAYER TO YOU? Oh wait you answered that...........

Think of it in terms of progression and regression. Hell, even Josh Booty progressed under Dinardo. Davey, Mauck, Russell, and Flynn progressed under Jimbo. Jefferson and Lee have regressed under Crowten.

Funny I don't remember you posting that back then

Much ado about nothing if you can overlook the fact that the Miles/Crowton combo is 0 for 5 in evaluating and/or developing a QB.
Certainly, it may not factor into this season, but for me, this season is all about what the next coach is going to have to work with.
My best case scenario includes getting some experience at key positions with personnel that can contribute to possible future championship teams.

Been saying he's obviously been beating CG out in the summer workouts

Funny, I didn't post any positive about Perrillox either.

It's all development

hat can only possibly be lee, who is a baseball player playing football who likely leaves in 3 years
You wrote this..........which can be interpreted as such.........
I, on the other hand, after seeing and hearing Z. Lee speak about it all see him as a football player playing baseball...........
Why? because he has turned down millions of dollars to play football at LSU, has showed up to campus to compete, and is making people talk about his ability thus far.....
And for the people who keep talking about 2012 and no scholarship qbs....................Can we at least recruit for 2010 and let Feb get here before we concide that no one is gonna wanna play with the #1 rated OL core #1 rated RB core and top 3 rated WR core............please for the love of God.
And if LSU's offense clicks this year who knows what kid changes their mind............this is all so ridiculous.

I agree. I think Slow and others assume the only reason he'll come is to look for better baseball money in 3 yeasrs. I disagree. I think he wants to see if he can develop into an NFL QB. The road to the NFL is much shorter than the one to MLB.
I hope this is true myself Football is inherently more fun for an athlete than baseball, especially when the choice is between being a pitcher or being a QB.
In football you can laugh and joke on the sidelines. When a pitcher is having a great game, no one talks to him much. They're afraid to get him out of his zone.

Nooooo shite.
Wonder if other schools, when their 3rd or 4th string QB transfers/leaves/asks to leave, lose their fricking minds, throw the program under the bus, and fully decide that the 2012 LSU football team will be a failure because apparently we won't field a QB that year.

Sure he could hoss, sure he could..........I'm sure that's what most of your are hoping for but about 10 pages ago I was told he was drafted in the 1st round because the dodgers didn't want to sign him..........Seriously, go back and read it...........it was all some big magic trick to save money.
