if they don't sign lee, they get another 1st round pick next year

I know the owner is paying 650g's a month to his Ex..........this still doesn't negate the kids talent.........you utilized it in your argument to justify that Z. Lee was drafted in the 1st like it was some kind of pity pick.

Can our passing game coordinator Billy Gonzales run it?

i don't know how much influence a "passing game coordinator" will have on the running game

we have 1 QB who can run the spread option anyway, and he's playing WR currently

And yeah that spread option we ran in 07 with RP was a real joke.

RP had about 15 plays and was actually a spread option QB

It was said last year that him or Lee would be transferring. Not really news.

No doubt. I'm only saying that this will be a meltdown. I thought you disagreed with that.

I disagree with term meltdown, we might have a disagreement with that term. When I think of meltdown I think of MSB board where every thread pertains to exact same topic.
I do not see that happening tonight, or tomorrow with this. As I said on SEC Rant, you will see this thread still a few threads questioning QB situation, new "Who should we recruit", and more "Hate Les because" threads.
I do not think this will be any more a meltdown than the week Jefferson skipped a start and Lee had to start vs LA Tech. I guess that is about the size of it, you will see 5-10 threads about it but nothing where people really are getting angry and what not.

he was a kid who would demand high enough for the dodgers to not really have to make a real offer towards

they could offer him a good bonus (sya, 2M) and know he'd reject it and they could wash their hands of any fan anger

tigerbru,

try to follow the argument over whether or not 40 times and shuttle runs have anything to do with getting sacked.

the bottom line is that Miles and crew know far more about this situation than we do. if Garrett got cut because he couldn't handle it then so what? he'd be struggling to beat out walkons if he can't hold down the 3rd QB spot.

I know and those 15 plays won many games for us.........that spread option to KW was sick in at least 3 games helped score pivotal TD's.....and the most important factor in this was that Defenses knew RP was the spread option qb.

And JJ comes from a spread option offense in high school..........his old OC Greg Boyne runs it a West Jeff so we have 2 qbs who can actually run it but I digress.

LSU better get a stud QB NOW and not in two years. ZL has serious questions of even being a consistent Football player with his Baseball potential. I mean c'mon, the damn dude was a 1st round pick, where do you think hes likely going to focus?

They need to get their arse in gear and get some QB love NOW. Make them listen, do something. Jesus christ. Ely just became that much more important, hell, LSU might need to take two QBs this year...

Probably going to have to take a scrub as desperation. Two years and ZL is starting right now, if he isn't already a stud in Baseball by then, which he probably will be. Not. Good.

One thing that can hurt LSU is if one if the Dodgers financial guys talk to a Tampa Bay (or another team that draft well and pays their draft picks) guy. They then realize that meeting these demands and signing these talented kids ends up costing less than signing a veteran Free Agent who will be with your club for 1 year or 2.
Personally I think Dodgers and Lee meet at around 4 million and he goes Pro and if he goes I wish him the best of luck.

oddly enough when he scrambles he actually moves pretty good. he just looks so awkward on designed running plays.

I don't know about you, but I'm seeing anger here. I'm kind of angry myself, and part of it is I don't know all the facts.

Thing is, I might still be angry even after everything comes out.

So we're basically looking at going after the top JUCO guy now right? When was the last time LSU had a JUCO QB?
