I ran across this interview today with Chris Blair. I love his passion for this program and this city.

He has an amazing take on the atmosphere at Death Valley. We are lucky to have him represent LSU

I think we can all agree on that point and I think he will be if LSU has anything to say about it

I would like to see Jim and Chris broadcast one baseball game together. Just one game.

Good interview- admittedly I like him a bit better hearing that. However he still has a long ways to go to win me over as a football play by play guy. His total lack of emotion and/or fake emotion was very disappointing and frankly baffling in some of the programs biggest plays ever. I think he is much better for basketball- but football he sounded so uninterested and he was less emotional than the neutral tv announcer practically every time.

Blair is great but almost too great IMO. I actually prefer my PBP guys to be flawed and overly attached to their teams like the Graf.

Homer announcers are the worst, A&M is a great example, biggest homer announcers and it’s unlistenable

Is this your podcast? I've noticed you've posted a lot of stuff from them.

I don’t disagree if they are over the top- I listen to the Gators pbp guy- mick Hubert, and he’s definitely a huge homer- and I hate listening to him- but Florida fans love him because it’s clear he loves Florida and he gets excited for big plays. I think there could be a happy median- Blair is extreme to the other way. He sounds ho hum for some of the biggest plays- ones that require some accentuation even if you were totally unbiased. But on so many of those he comes across very flat and methodical. He disappointed CBS several times when they’d show the play of the game with the local guy’s call, and when you heard him he sounded almost asleep compared to the CBS announcer.

I am not involved with this podcast. I just think this is one of the better college football podcasts out there.

I only share LSU related things on here because I feel like many people on here would be interested

I agree with you. The first episode I listened to was the Blake Ferguson interview when you posted about it the first time. I've listened to a few episodes since and I really enjoy it.
Even their non-LSU specific interviews are good. I really enjoyed their interview of Don Munson and their Senior Bowl coverage. Just an overall quality podcast in my honest opinion.
