Nice post, appreciate your chivalry and have few problems with what you said. I thought your defenses coaches had a great game plan...

Besides Gordon, there was no position that y'all had that was as fast as us and that was obvious.

Most Badger fans had their eyes closed by the 4th. Quarter when the Tiger receivers were running free. Wisc was gassed from top to bottom.

I agree. We had the speed at DB and WR but at the line and running back spot I didn't see any LSU speed advantage like we have had in the past.

the injuries to Zagzebski and Herring on the brand new D line, the injury to Gordon effectively taking him out of the game, and not having Stave available due to injury when McEvoy showed he was embarrassingly bad in the pass game.

Excuses. What separates elite programs from good programs is depth. We had several players not make the trip and a bunch of players missing from our d line rotation, but we still throw incredibly talented players out on the field.

Hilliard is the clear #1 and had a great game

He had a good game Saturday. He also got the vast majority of his yardage in the fourth quarter when our offensive line decided to start opening up holes big enough to drive a big rig through.

What were you watching then? The speed in our secondary is ELITE. Your QB couldn't throw the ball, but the WRs were covered like blankets all night long. None of them got any separation whatsoever from our DBs. Also, Travin Dural was showing the difference in speed between him and your DBs all night long.

Your QB seemed decent, but that would be a position of concern for me as an LSU fan

Not even a little bit. That was his SECOND career start. He threw for almost 240 yards and that was with a couple of drops and poorly executed screens. Let me reiterate, that was his SECOND career start. He didn't turn the ball over one single time and didn't make any poor decisions on throwing the ball. He made some pinpoint throws and showed some really good arm strength on some throws from the pocket. A couple of poorly executed screens doesn't concern me.

Gordon and Collins have clocked almost identical 40 times. Collins ran him down from behind when he had to. Gordon is real though.

McEvoy was pretty good on the short passes and has some wheels on him. He looked a lot faster than the 4.6ish times he has clocked.

Your farm system that grows those O linemen is pretty good, with no sign of dropping off.

LSU is going to be loaded with talent and experience in two years. Our freshman class is going to be unbelievable.

Wis. # 31 suffers from Alligator mouth/Hummingbird arse syndrome. I am sure a cure is being sought.

I hope you are able to experience tailgating and a game in Tiger Stadium one day. We drink so much to avoid sensory overload. It is unbelievable.

I think MSU may win your conference but I hope y'all play, and crush, Urban Cryer in the Big 14 championship game instead. Good luck.

Its easy to stop someone that gets so much hype when he is in the game you know he is 90% chance of getting the ball...those are the easy guys to stop

UW dominated that game for 2.5 quarters

2 quarters and a play in the 3rd..i wouldnt go 2.5 ...btw its a 4 quarter ball game

It's clear how important he is to our squad.

he wasnt that important the second half

All commentators on the field talked about was the speed difference between UW and LSU

They'll need to buy extra Crown Royal. All downtown Atlanta bars ran out of Crown the first time we went to the SEC Championship in 2001.

Except that time that Gordon "put on the jets" and then was chased down by a corner 5 yards later..

I never once claimed it wasn't a position of concern for Bucky. In fact I said it absolutely is, and even moreso after that performance by McEvoy and the injury to Stave (or whatever the hell it is). McEvoy was 8-24 for 50 yards, and couldn't even make the short throws. It was awful.

LSU knew gordon was going to get the ball and he averaged 8.75 YPC. I'm not saying he's not going to be good, but I'm not sold on the whole Heisman favorite thing until he shows he can do it at this level.

Splitting hairs, but that first drive went right down the field, and then the UW D held on the next drive...then LSU faked the punt and it went from there.

And someone above said that the difference between elite programs is the depth and ability to reload. I 100% agree with that. Coming in it was an entirely new front seven, and we lost 2 of our 3 D linemen by the middle of the third. That was a death blow and the LSU momentum continued to grow.

Are you talking about the 63 yarder he got injured on? On that run it was clear he came up a little lame, and the commentators even mentioned that he seemed to slow down.

Glad to see that the Urban Meyer hate is still strong in the SEC. He doesn't have too many admirers in the B1G. They're the only team I like to see lose OOC games. I know that's not good for the conference, but his smugness and arrogance annoy me, as do their boorish fans. They were less than impressive in their first outing, and I wouldn't be surprised to see MSU run away with that division.
