Way bigger things on my mind than the Heisman.

Charles Woodson beat Peyton Manning. But he did play some both ways. I don’t ever see a d lineman winning unless it’s a terrible offensive year.

Derrick Thomas had 27 sacks in ‘88 and still didn’t win it.

With the amount of hype he's getting from the media, I would not be surprised if he beats out Joe.

Call me when he scores ONE touchdown. If Tyrann didn't win the Heisman, no defensive player EVER should.

They need to stop with the hype crap, unless he starts returning punts and plays TE and scores multiple TD’s. He won’t get more than 2 1st place votes form hommers.

The ESPN hype machine is fully on board. Just like when it got on board with Mark Ingram in 2009, constantly repeating the fact that no Bama player had ever won the Heisman. Ingram wasn’t even the best back in the SEC West that year, but he won the Heisman.

If TM7 didn’t win the Heisman, no defensive player ever deserves to win again. EVER

Heisman is a popularity contest. I would be happy with a Heisman invite and it's what Fournette should have gotten.
Burrow can win out and still might not win that award.
I do think he wins one of the QB awards.

As last night's playoff rankings indicate there is a tremendous Anti- SEC bias and Big Ten homerism in the nation. I will not be shocked when:

1. Chase Young wins the Heisman
2. If both LSU and Bama make the playoff (Only happens if LSU beats Bama. We lose, we out) they will play each other in the semis.

Barry Sanders deserved it, but Thomas finished 10th which is ridiculous.

I don’t see a defensive player winning it, especially in this day and age. Mathieu actually scored lots of TDs and was a total gamechanger, still didn’t win it.

What I do like is this Chase Young hype could take votes away from Tua and Hurts while Burrow collects the other votes to cushion his lead.

Gotta win Saturday first though for that to matter imo.

Mathieu only didn’t win because of his 3 game suspension.

If we win out Joe is winning. Take Joe off of LSU and we are a 9 win team. Take Young off of OSU and they still probably go undefeated. Not even debatable.

The sports writers/casters are suddenly going berserk over Chase Young. And they all sound like they are writing from the exact same "talking points"...

What's in the shoe-company-Heisman-Gift-Bags boys?

And his competition wasn't 'that' crazy. Montee Ball had over 2200 scrimmage yards and 39 TDs as a RB (almost breaking Barry Sanders TD record). RG3 brought Baylor to prominence with 5000 total yards and 47 TDs and a 10 win season for the first time since 1980 (and 2nd time ever). However those numbers in total were for the bowl games too. The others were Richardson and Luck, who had great (but not modern day heisman) numbers, but it was moreso that they were on great teams AND both were considered top 5 picks that year.

Mathieu had a stat stuffed season

76 tackles
4 TDs (2 defense, two PR)
6 FF, 5 FR
2 ints
7.5 TFL
1.5 sacks

And he missed a game.

Honestly you could easily make a case for him winning it that year, but the Cinderella story of RG3 and Baylor seemed to be a bigger pull for the media. Like I said, he was amazing, but media has an agenda. No way in hell should Luck, and Richardson, been placed above him in Heisman voting. I'd give Ball some leeway for the amazing 38 TDs he scored by the time the Heisman was announced, but that's it.
