CJ is rapidly overtaking JJ in the boy/man crush fad this board has developed.

Chad Jones has been a serious man crush for a while now. I would dare to say that it has been consistently greater than JJ from day one.
ETA: for this board... not me of course

What are some other historical duel sport stars that LSU has had?
No discussion would be complete without Mike Miley at the top of the list. His departure to play pro baseball effectively ENDED two sports athletes at LSU for many, many years.

rignt now? no way in hell, not even close.
He has pitched less than 10 innings, and has not been a full tiem starter in either sport....much less All-Sec or All-American in either.
he has a shot to be in the top 10 or higher before he leaves, but he is not there yet. It's still mainly potential.

Had an impact in winning a FB NC AND BB NC. Mitchell only had an impact in BB.
Yes Chad is top 10 right now. Maybe #10.

84 career tackles + 6 innings pitched = top 10 greatest athlete of all time?

no
when he turns in an unforgettable year in baseball or football, then maybe we can start talking
Jared Mitchell is ahead of him, shite Chris Jackson is prob ahead of him at this point

I will give the benefit of doubt on this one and assume it was an honest mistake. CWS MVP.

With all the notoriety that he received during the CWS, he will have to be looked at as an All-America this year in football

Jeremy Witten
Trindon Holliday
Billy Cannon
J. Mitchell
Bennie Brazell
Chris Jackson (the white one)
Devery Henderson
Slip Watkins
Tommy Cassanova
Eddie Kennison
Slats Hardin/Shaq/Kevin Faulk/Keith Osik
not all were multi sport guys, but some were very versatile in their own sport or just freakish athletes.
Who on this list is CJ better than at this point in time?

Early Doucet was said to be better than most of the guys on the 2006 final four team
True that! And similarly, Michael Clayton was one helluva athlete as well. A true "football player" in all respects, but also could have played for Brady.

WOW, how is Xavier Carter not mentioned?? He ruled the track while he was here... and if he had stayed all 4 years he would have grown into a badass KR or PR and probably would have became one of the greatest college Track and Field Athlete ever.

Trindon and Devery at least.
