They are. I think that OSU will possibly jump ahead this week, or next. I also think they will give it back up to LSU with a win over Georgia. It may come down to how the teams look in these games.
It is not as cut and dry that LSU stays at #1 as people want to make it out to be. And it won't be some conspiracy, or LSU getting screwed if they aren't #1.
The reason I think LSU gets the top spot is because of the top end of their resume. Beating UGA and Bama will be way more impressive than OSU's slightly longer list of wins.

I really hope we're not getting ahead of ourselves with the SEC SG
ETA: I don't think it's likely that we get knocked out of it
if we maintain the level of play

Nothing we discuss will change the results on the field in Atlanta.

First three post are totally updated.
- Penn St and Oregon are removed. They would need total chaos to even have their names mentioned again.
- Bama is becoming very nicely set up for another mulligan. I'm not at all convinced that Utah, Baylor or Oklahoma would be able to jump them down the road.

Great thread.
Note:
1.Oklahoma poised to make a big jump. Two big games left.
2.Utah is in trouble. Will get jumped by Oklahoma if they all win out.
3. Oklahoma will jump Bama if they win out.*
*Remember, the committee has said several times that a team that is not a conference champion has to be "demonstrably better" than a conference Champion with the same record.

Okie Lite winning will help a little bit. They are still ranked below Auburn in the top 25 though. Bama will create more separation with a win over Auburn. The committee showing Baylor absolutely no love doesn't help either. Will be interesting to see what the committee does if OU wins the Big 12.
I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see Utah having much of a chance.
