Aren’t they a separate group from everything? Could they make a rule that would screw LSU should we make the playoffs?

I don’t think they can make a rule, but they can definitely have a handshake deal behind closed doors.

I’m assuming that they can do whatever they want. They can simply ignore LSU without an official rule. That would probably be the smartest thing to keep their asses out of court.

Yeah, good luck with that….

If they exclude an LSU team that is objectively one of the top 10 teams in the country, they will absolutely get popped for antitrust violation.

They literally had championship rings made and called them playoff rings

There’s rumors they may come out with a similar rule to the SEC soon.

If LSU wins the SEC, the CFP is supposed to take them. If they do not, they are asking for another lawsuit.

I would be much more concerned about the cfp than I would be the NCAA and SEC. Seems they actually have governing power over their decisions

This is the answer

The judge today even mentioned "suspected open collusion" between the NCAA and SEC in court... it's on the record... now add the CFP Committee, and it'd be the easiest case to win, that a 3rd grader could win the antitrust case

LSU gets paid $$$$
Players get paid $$$$
And all 3 entities get absolutely blasted by sanctions
