Really?! I'd take that.

Are you sure the list was updated?

Tell me why it wont happen? Why is S. Carolina any more attractive than LSU? LSU has not been to Tampa in a long time, S. Carolina has been there 2x in the last 10 years. LSU fans will travel to Tampa. We have a great Alumni Base in the Florida area - Tampa, Orlando, Miami, Jacksonville, Pensacola.

I dont see us falling past the Chick-Fil-A bowl in my opinion.

Outback has not choses an SEC West team since 1997 (Alabama). They just don't pick SEC west teams. They will pick the best available SECE team. LSU is the second farthest school from Tampa. If the Outback ever decides to choose another SECW team it will be Bama or Auburn becasue of their promimaty.

I didn't say this year. I was referring to future years.

Since the SEC has bowl tie-ins and the two top teams are in the BCS, who else would go? South Carolina laid an egg yesterday (plus LSU has the "tie-breaker" over them) and Kentucky lost at Tennessee. Can't see Vandy getting in either after losing to Wake. I agree with the earlier post, LSU doesn't fall past Chick-fil-A, which considering the season, ain't that bad.

This is mostly because of how the bowl picking goes. After the Capital one and BCS takes their picks, the Cotton has first pick of the West, and the Outback is first pick of the East, and it a rare year that the second pick out of the West is better or even an argument for contention against the first pick out of the East.

I'll never understand why people use historical trends in lieu of actual analysis for bowl predictions.

Here's how this breaks down, in my opinion

Florida - BCS bowl
Bama - BCS Bowl
UGA - Capital One
Ole Miss - Cotton Bowl
LSU - Outback
South Carolina - Chick-fil-A
Vandy - Gaylord Hotels Bowl
Kentucky - Papajohns.com

You lost all validity with your bowl projections here. LSU isn't eligible to go to the Capital One bowl.
