Hey gang. It's been 4 long long years for us Iowa fans and it's been 4 long years since I've posted here.
I read somewhere that the SEC cuts deals with each bowl and the B10, while honoring the choice order allows universities to cut deals with bowls.
That said, I think that if Northwestern were picked ahead of Iowa there would be no doubt that the bowl would pick USC - less risk of lower turn out. I believe that LSU would travel well but they won't have to risk as much...due to proximity. Northwestern, while having the greatest per capita alumni income has the smallest fan base.
While LSU and UGA did not have the kind of seasons that many expected, they are still very talented and tough. Don't know much about USC...it is said that they have a good D.
we'll see.

Yeah, if the bowl in question is a BCS bowl.
But the most recent analogy to this season is the Peach bowl, and we travelled HORRIBLY there. And that season was a 100 times better than this one.
To be fair, LSU went from possible BCS Bowl to Peach in one loss despite have only 2 losses and teams we beat all went to better bowls. The fans were not happy.

Outback doesn't even send reps to LSU games anymore.
Link??? Source??? The Advocate said the other day that they only go to home games of the teams that they are "scouting", not road games. Apparently they only like tailgating with the home team that they are scouting.

Who went to the capital one bowl that year anyway?
I was there when we played Iowa. Yes, you could have been given tickets at the gate, but the attendance there was still higher at that game than it had been in recent years.
*Cue the Iowa must have traveled well posts*

You could NOT have been given tickets at the gate. The game sold out and they added temporary seats in one of the end zones and sold all those tickets too. That game holds the Capital One Bowl attendance record because BOTH teams travel so well. I would expect a rematch of that game to be a good sell this year. Can't imagine the Outback isn't aware of the history.
