Obviously there is a ton of CEO and Aleva hate on these boards.

As for Aleva, sure hate him...I don't really care.

But CEO needs to be given a chance. I think many people do not like CEO because he is tied to Aleva for some reason, in your minds. Maybe its because Aleva failed to get a good hire like Fisher or Herman and LSU "had to settle with CEO".

CEO loves LSU. This is his dream job. I would rather have a faithful, Louisiana coach who loves coaching LSU than anybody else...but I don't want to sacrifice championships and victories for it.

CEO needs to get his time to coach. He is finally getting depth on the lines. We are very young but deep. Give CEO this year and next. If LSU is not in the SECC game and/or playoffs by next season, then I am fine with looking elsewhere. But give the man a damn chance. You cannot judge a coach's success in 1.5 years and that is what you haters are doing.

Do not tie CEO with Aleva. CEO wanted the job that he loves and he is doing his best. I think 3.5 years is enough time to put up or shut up.

I personally think CEO will put up. We comin baws

Did you forget last season when we got stomped by Miss State and lost to fricking Troy? I think that's audition enough. Ed O is a joke and no amount of hope and prayer is going to make him a good coach.

I guess we just disregard his tenure at Ole Miss. Did anyone else even interview him? Just acknowledge we are dealing with two incompetent individuals ( three if we want to throw in F. King)

People don’t like O for two main reasons:

- he’s not a coach of requisite caliber to coach at LSU (he’s actually the worst coach in the history of Ole Miss); and
- he’s a liar...and people don’t like liars

He had a bad year...but turned it around and beat Auburn and Florida. It was basically year 1. Give him 2 more seasons.

CEO reminds me of Jim Hawthorne calling a baseball game. WAY BACK, WAY BACK, and it is caught by the first baseman

Les Miles was called out for the fraud he is. People who went at him, his family, or his pet low iq quartebacks, were banned. I can't stand Les Miles. He is a piece of liberal shite. He shite down what was a dynasty era for LSU with his gross incompetence. He left multiple national titles on the table, and the NFL talent LSU had dripping from the program is more than proof. His hires were shite, and many times his coaching replacements were forced upon him. However, I never said such, and neither did most everyone who knew he was a fraud from the beginning. Every season, as a true Tigers fan, regardless of the preseason prognostications I bought in, and was ecstatic about what the season should bring. THE FREAKING ROSTERS ALONE WERE MORE THAN REASON ENOUGH TO BALL OUT FOR LSU. THIS roster rivals any in LSU history, and the shitbag O haters are so freaking desperate to make every thought about Ed Orgeron as negative, and trashy as possible.

He’s been around this team for 3 seasons and been HC for nearly 2 full seasons, going into his 3rd. That’s more than a chance.

Being the losingest coach in Ole Miss history might have a little to do with it. Yes, Alleva is hated but most posters here are intelligent enough to separate the two. Both are incompetent and aren’t qualified for their jobs.

So do I. I’m also wildly unqualified. Does that mean LSU should give me 3.5 million a year and a buyout?

Give CEO this year and next

frick no. Win 9 or 10 this year or he can GTFO.

Kirby took his team to an SEC title and a shot at a Natty in his second season.

I’m not even going to give the rest of your nonsense a response.

You’re okay with 95% of the Tiger Rant being the HC of LSU?

#GiveHimaChanceUniversity!
#ResumesDontMatter!
#BindersRule!

With this line of thinking, I can’t wait to see who the next coach will be.

Orgeron calls any job that gives him a chance his 'dream job.'

calling LSU his dream job just fit bc he's from the area and he knew that some in the fanbase would eat it up, which is exactly what happened. I give him all the credit available for seizing the moment and opportunity.

Don’t worry, I’m judging him based on his time at Ole Miss also.

Also, being from LSU has absolutely NOTHING to do with being a successful coach.
Is Saban from Alabama?
Is Belichick from New England?
Is Urban Meyer from Ohio?
Was Bill Walsh from San Francisco?

People dont realize that even with the shitty losses we had to UF, ND, and Troy that CEO has a decent winning percentage in his USC ad LSU stints. Top dogs in the business are only around 80% career wins. CEO however needs to win something like a division, SEC, or CFP to get the heat off of him. Mark Richt eventually got canned for being top tier mediocre and same will happen with CEO if he makes it that far.

As for timing, LSU would be better off to make it until Miles is paid off and CEO buyout is low at which point they can afford to go big. People crying for CEO to be fired dont realize that LSU doesnt have the money to pay Miles, CEO, his staff, and hire a new staff at $10mil+. Essentially, we have to dance with who brung us...

Anything less than 10 wins is an unsuccessful season in my book no matter who’s coaching. Last year was Orgeron’s “chance” with some good (Auburn game, keeping the team together after the Troy loss, recruiting so far this year) and bad (Troy game, State game, the Canada mess, the Bowl game) which has been discussed a million times on here and I don’t need to relitigate. Now that O’s had his chance he’s got to deliver, bottom line. 10 wins and a NY6 Bowl this year and I’ll be happy and say there’s progress. Another shite show roller coaster season and he’s proved without a doubt that the job is too big for him and he needs to go. O’s had his chance, put up or shut up

He’s already had a couple of years. Are you saying we should give him a couple more?

So 4 years is your criteria to determine if a coach is worth a damn?

Kirby played for a national title in his 2nd year.
