Last time I looked, I don't put a gun to my temple
The more rational example would be if you put your gun in your hand, and pointed it at a target 20 yards away, and then it blew your dick off. Would you blame yourself, or the people who sold you a gun that shot out the bottom of hte pistol grip without telling you?

In todays society people fail to take responsibilty for their own actions and always look for someone else to blame. The woman who sued McDonalds knew that the coffe should have been hot, and that since coffee is a liquid and she is in moving vehicle there would be a chance that some of said liquid could spill. I am not saying that she was wrong in sueing McDonalds but her actions opened up the door for numerous other lawsuits that could be called frivilous at best, which in turn cost the average taxpayer more money. The Father should have known about such risks associated with sitting that close, and I would imagine the Magic would have a disclaimer, like baseball stadiums do concerning foul balls. The Father saw his chance to get 15 minutes of fame, but at the cost of all of his integrity, if he had any left. If I was the NBA, I would have told the Father that if he didn't didn't like his seats, other seats could be made available but an apology is out of the question.

I totally disagree with this, the kid is sitting court side and is standing close to the court. How often do you see public apologies when a home town player hustles and runs three rows deep into the crowd? Never, this is lame.

i do not think he had to apologize, but i am glad he did. I could just hear the anti LSU media now. Big Baby is a class act and he represented himself as well as LSU with class.
Glen Davis is a good guy but classy people don't run down the court screaming profane words on national television. I guess everyone has to maintain that "hard" image instead of acting happy.

+10000, but I think I might have handled it differently.

Big Baby is a CLASS guy, he took the high road. More sports "Stars" should take a lesson from him. Ya gotta luv 'em!

xiv, more often than not, I would agree with that. Sadly, sometimes you run into folks that give off such a bad vibe, one just can't help but say, "sorry - I'll try harder next time, dumbass."
I don't think that Big Baby really needed to apologize but good for him nonetheless. Hopefully, this puts it all to rest.

His apology actually seemed relatively genuine too, not just generic. Props to Big Baby, great PR move.

His apology, unnecessary but with integrity, should be the end of it. The father should rethink what message he is sending his kid.

By the way, the father just made Baby a bunch more famous
