frick that, let the guy throw until he’s either tired and hurting or ineffective in his last game as a Tiger. That is a piss poor excuse for getting your strategy blown the frick up

They got their share of runners on base. A timely hit or two and we are talking a different result.
I expect them to come out ticked off tomorrow.

Skips "you only have to beat them once" speech comes to mind. I hope it holds true again

They had two plays go their way. Ump at first blocked mis throw. Cost LSU a run Hit by pitch was Ball four but called out.
…Not to mention the catcher, jethro Bodeen’s cousin turned his rump right into an inside pitch to get hit

Yeah, I noticed that also. By the look on their faces, you would have thought they lost 20-0, not 1-0. They looked defeated.

Agree completely. Sounded like a bitch.

He's such a douche. LSU has forgotten more baseball history than that poor man's South Carolina will ever know.

A close loss is always more deflating. A blowout can be much more easily written off and you have energy to compete the next day during the blow out. A 1-0 loss where you had multiple great chances to tie the game with running in scoring position is rough.
Losing your 26-0 streak to that is the suck on top

100% threw shade.

Listen to the coach......."we belong here, we are not Cinderella, learn how to pronounce Chanticleers".

He kinda threw shade at LSU for letting Kade throw 130 pitches in his postgame. At least that’s how I took it. Discussing trying to get pitch count up, which they did a good job of early but had a couple quick innings late. Said “they let him throw 130 pitches so maybe it wouldn’t have mattered anyway”.
People with huge egos often have fragile personalities and many times teams take on the personna of their coach. I'm thinking if LSU puts up an early crooked number they crumble under the pressure as their head coach starts to lose his cool, arguing balls and strikes and starts pulling Busch league stunts.

So umpires being stupid (like they always are).

I didn't watch any post game stuff from them, so I don't know what his intent was. I'll just say that IF he has a problem with letting Anderson throw 130, then he doesn't know what the point of competition is. Anderson was fully rested, and won't pitch another game for weeks, for some minor league team; it's the championship series, and he's not showing fatigue. You absolutely let him keep going in that situation. People need to stop thinking that pitch count is everything. Pitchers used to be a lot more durable in the days when nobody ever talked or cared about pitch counts. It's all about mechanics and stress. 130 pitches does not equal the same amount of stress for every pitcher.

Yeah! He can easily look to Skip Bertman and/or Nick Saban techniques regarding the “human condition,” but can he properly implement? We shall see!

I saw them at the hotel getting off the bus.
Totally agree.
LSU fans applauded them.
I made very low chicken noises. Because i’m 5’4” and 59.

Flukey looked dazed. He pitched about as well as you can pitch and still got the L.
