Absolutely. Part of the intriguing question to ask is why didn’t he have better qb options? Was it that he couldn’t get an upper-tier rated QB to attend Notre Dame? I strongly doubt that. Was it because of his poor QB evaluation/assessment/selection abilities with the guys he brought in? I tend to lean towards this as the explanation for his poor history of QB play. Add to that, after his first year, LSUs most highly rated QB ever, I think, leaves after only being in the program one year? A very odd and concerning development for me….

None of those QB’s were outstanding.

And played 3 more games than max

You have to take into consideration that CBK could only recruit the QB's that could pass admissions and get into ND. He won't have that issue at LSU so his QB's production should increase simply because he can get better talent to Baton Rouge.

JD just turned in a Top 5 all time passing yardage season in LSU history.

Did you even watch the games? Our downfield passing game was nonexistent

went to every home game.
watched all road (and the Superdome game) on TV.
can it improve? abso-fricking-lutely
but to call it non-existent is over exaggerating the situation.

BK is a head coach. He isn’t spending huge amounts of hands-on time working with the QBs. It’s Denbrock and Sloan who are doing this job, so this post is pretty pointless.
He mentioned Saban for this fact. We all know Saban isn’t out there developing QBs but he’s hiring guys who are to his staff.
Are we not holding coaches accountable for their hiring anymore?

Don’t bring facts to this board. We all about feelings now. Jd had the same amount of tds as max. Let that sink in.
Yea let’s just ignore the 1,000 more yards, 4 more wins and the fact that this team scored 39 rushing TDs to last years 9…

Wtf are you talking about? Ian book threw for 3,000 yards 34 tds and rushed for another 500 and 4 TDs. That’s not good QB play to you? And Ian book is terrible at football so the fact that BK got that type of production out of him is incredible.
Jayden had a 10/10 TD/INT ratio last year and 17/3 this year in a better conference. What do you call that? Is that not progression of a QB? Is that not Jayden being “Developed” into a better player?

LSU scored 39 rushing TDs this year compared to 9 last year. Max’s TD number are higher because that’s the only way we could score. Jayden still threw for more yards and Accounted for nearly 1,00 more yards total and 4 more wins, division championship, Bowl game win etc.

Jayden was a higher rated recruit than walker so not only did “LSUs highest rated QB ever” not leave the program. But BK actually Brought the highest rated QB prospect LSU has ever had INTO the program through the portal.
Only on the rant will you find people stupid enough to bitch about a coach that just took a 6-7 team to the SEC championship

This is all you need to know about what BK wants starting at QB
LSU
'22 Jayden Daniels - 266 completions, 186 carries
'21 Jake Coan - 253 completions, 57 carries
18-20 Ian Book - 728 completions, 361 carries
17-18 Brandon Wimbush - 193 completions, 215 carries
15-16 DeShone Kizer - 422 completions, 264 carries
14-15 Malik Zaire - 58 completions, 72 carries
12,14 Everett Golson - 443 completions, 208 carries
11,13 Tommy Rees - 493 completions, 42 carries
10-11 Dwayne Crist - 199 completions, 62 carries
Cincy
08-09 Tony Pike - 421 completions, 94 carries
'07 Ben Mauk - 235 completions, 100 carries
Brennan/Nuss/Howard will never start at LSU. When JD leaves, BK will go back to the portal. Thats just who he recruited and played since 2007, and he wont change

1. Calm down. You’re apparent love affair for CBK is coming across as “fatal attraction-esque.
2. Daniels and Howards 247 score, ranking are practically identical but Daniels was slightly higher. I was referring to a traditional HS recruit as highest ranked ever. To his credit he’s brought 2 highly rated QBs INTO the program; unfortunately we’ve lost one before he could contribute.
3. Resorting to personal attacks is a childish, ineffective method of persuasion for personal interactions. Typically that approach won’t serve you well in traversing the day-to-day demands of a civil society.
4. Happy to compare academic and professional accomplishments to validate or invalidate your characterization of my stated opinion.
5. You have no complaints about CBKs performance this year, noted.

We all see Nuss' talent, and he did progress from his time before Kelly.
I know that there are QB trainers, and I'm sure Doug has Garrett lined up with the best, but if I'm Doug, I'm going to try and get Garrett some time with Drew Brees and Joe Burrow on the mental part of the game ad well.

Try again.
Russell Sheppard @ 0.9986
Ryan Perriloux @ 0.9968
JD was 0.9823 coming out of HS
Walker Howard was .9809
But hey, he was higher rated than Joe Burrow coming out of high school.

I think Howard's overall rating took a hit after his injury.
And everybody knew Shepard was just an athlete who ran out of the QB position.
I am slightly concerned about BK's past QBs, but hoping things will change at LSU. I regret Howard left, but nothing is going to change that.
